I really dig this Romance on My Menu painting by Japanese artist, Misako Chida. I have featured Misako many times before. She specializes in abstract pieces which have a very ethereal quality to them. This one, I think, is so cool.
I envision a fancy meal being cooked with the express purpose to woo a special someone.
The pots are cooking and it actually looks like my cooking when my stove top fan was broken. [It still is…I just have an air fryer now]. Only, Misako makes it look romantic and dreamy. I think she may have been trying to convey magic potions.
Misako is in the Saatchi gallery. She lives and works in Japan. If you dig this as much as I do, here is my
