Liverpool defender Sepp van den Berg is considering his options with a number of clubs trying to secure his services on loan.
The 20-year-old Dutchman, who was on the bench for Saturday’s Premier League opener at Fulham, has been heavily linked with a temporary switch to Championship outfit Burnley but The Athletic understands there is currently no deal in place.

Manager Vincent Kompany is keen to take him to Turf Moor but there is also serious interest from clubs in Germany. Both Liverpool and the player himself are weighing up what move would be best for his development.
Van den Berg, who has made four senior appearances for Liverpool since his £4.4million ($5.4m) move from PEC Zwolle in 2019, spent last season on loan at Preston where he played 50 games in all competitions.
Liverpool have lost fellow centre-back Ibrahima Konate to a knee injury but Jurgen Klopp is well stocked in that department with Virgil van Dijk, Joel Matip, Joe Gomez and Nat Phillips.
