About the author (2016)

Dr Michael Greger is a physician, author and internationally recognized speaker on nutrition, food safety and public health issues. He runs the popular website NutritionFacts.org, a non-profit, science-based public service providing free daily updates on the latest in nutrition via bite-sized videos. Dr Greger has lectured at the National Institutes of Health, testified before Congress and was invited as an expert witness in Oprah Winfrey's defense at the Texas 'meat defamation' trial. A founding member of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine, he is licensed as a general practitioner specializing in clinical nutrition. He currently serves as the Director of Public Health and Animal Agriculture at the Human Society of the United States. Dr Greger is a graduate of the Cornell University School of Agriculture and the Tufts University School of Medicine.
