Since the beginning of creation, God has determined there would be times and seasons.

According to Apostle Gerald Rovis Masinde, team leader at Bethel Covenant Connection, as the natural man observes seasonal changes in weather, so should the spiritual man see and understand the change of seasons in the spiritual realm.

“In the things of God, timing is very important, and I think that is the game changer,” he said in his audience address at Destiny Matters Church – USA, pastored by Pastor Charles Kasibante, with it base in Kampala.

“A lot of people have passion, they have the desire to serve God, but they don’t know what to do in what time. You can’t enter your destiny in God without understanding the timing and the seasons,” he said.

For Pastor Charles Kasibante, a Christian’s responsibility is not to negotiate the timing of God, but to “connect” with His timing. He cited Luke 19:44.

“God is not trying to re-create your purpose. It was already created. In the realm of the spirit, my purpose has already been aligned, and my job as a believer, is to connect to the time,” Pastor Gerald said, quoting Habakkuk 2:3.

“There must be precision in everything that we do. We have one life and it is not a rehearsal. We must live it well,” he explained further. “God has not hidden timings and seasons from us. The timing and season of God is in public domain. What God requires of us is to have an understanding. What we are sharing today is helping you become knowledgeable so that you can walk into your timing in God.”

He also quoted Ephesians 5:15-16.

It reads: “So be very careful how you live, not being like those with no understanding, but live honorably with true wisdom, for we are living in evil times. Take full advantage of every day as you spend your life for his purposes. And don’t live foolishly for then you will have discernment to fully understand God’s will….”

In attendance was Pastor Isaac Mugabi who urged that some believers today miss out on their due season because “we don’t harken to the Voice that tells us this is your season.”

“I have come to realise that every believer has a season where things happen just naturally without struggle… A discernment of seasons is very important. And I have come to realise that seasons don’t last. Every season has a reason for manifestation in your life,” he said.

Pastor Mugabi encouraged Christians to ‘redeem the time, because the days are evil.’ (Ephesians 5:16.) He said God gives us grace for every season of our lives.

“Do something when you can do it. many believers think, “we can do it tomorrow.” Procrastination is a thief of time…Grab the season, and operate as if its going to pass,” he said.

The preachers urged that it is important for every Christian to understand that God is using their current season to prepare them for their due season.

By reading the Word and embracing the Holy Spirit, they urged that one’s mind is renewed, and spirit transformed to become alert to the changing seasons.

“There are things in the spirit that must shift with the revelation that you receive concerning your destiny,” Pastor Rovis said.
