[Sims 4] Skarrds Perverted Expansion Pack (Update to 1.0.1 Jan/03 2024)

Recommended Posts

Heads up, it appears that  this breaks the new sim profiles added in the 11/10/20 update to the sims 4, while broken the sim profile will only come up once and be mostly blank, after which it cannot be opened again without restarting the game. Removing the skarrds_pervert_trait.package & skarrds_sexually awkward_trait.package resolved the issue.

Yes. It appears these are toast again. Unless someone knows how to repair, this could be their end. Which is a bummer cause I still use them. ha ha

I asked YourFalseHope a few weeks ago if he could update these, make them WW compatible, and turn them into reward traits... and he said that he would look into it!! So fingers crossed that happens soon!!

Turning any personality trait into a reward trait is easy with Sims 4 studio. Just change the "PERSONALITY" string into "GAMEPLAY". Takes 30 secs or so.
See gif-instructions here:

Unfortunately my instructions there do not turn them into reward traits, but rather into traits that players can add to any Sim through the ERO menu instead of CAS; ERO is what then adds them as reward traits based on that Sims 4 Studio change. Reward traits themselves require a bit of code. If skarrd or YourFalseHope need any help turning traits into reward traits, however, I could help if they want. :D

That patreon post I linked to makes the change from 64-bit ID to 32-bit. Not all that difficult to do.

The one thing to keep in mind, though, is it breaks compatibility with existing saves and library sims. Meaning you will need to go back and re-assign the traits to sims in affected saves and your library.

Also meaning a lot of Sims4Imagination sims are going to show up broken, because they seem to have a thing for abandonware custom traits. ?

I looked in to changing the 64 to 32. Couldn't A: find the "ID" he talks about. couldn't find B: the program you would use to change it. If anyone can show me how I will gladly update these so they continue to function.

The ID is the "Instance" in the Data tab in S4S.

Modding Toolbox is a little .exe file: https://modthesims.info/t/614660 All that does is give you the hash for the trait name. S4S does all the heavy lifting.

Ok. So I opened the sexually awkward trait and had a look. By a quick count, there are about 150 instance ID's in that one alone. All of them have to be changed one by one? I  am familiar with the modding toolbox but don't go thinking that means I would know how to change it over. If I have to change these over one by one.. it's not a quick 2 min fix is it.

No. You only need to edit the ID for Trait Tuning and the SimData with the same ID. Read the tutorial carefully. It's really very easy if you pay attention to what you're doing. But you're right. It's not a quick 2 minute fix.

It's five minutes. :)

And in case I didn't post the link in this thread, this is the tutorial I was talking about: https://www.patreon.com/posts/tutorial-custom-31937410

Really, it's not that hard. I it did a stack of abandonware traits I didn't want to just toss. Other than the ID, they still work.

The headache is trying to fix old custom aspirations with traits. Nope. If the author isn't coming back, I'm not keeping those.

I have managed to update the traits and after a playtest, they seem to be working again. There was one thing I noticed:1767678547_traitfix.png.d57a8b2d66ec43ac319e4b2bfc671a7e.png

So this characters traits are actually, "Romantic, sexually awkward, and clumsy. As you can see.. the traits I replace with the new traits are still listed in the profile. I checked the character's traits a few ways and they do just have the three. Not sure whats up there. But the first problem seems fixed.

Did this sim ever have the other traits in the past? You're looking at the sim from the POV of another. If a sim learned about another sim's traits previously, it will keep that trait listed until they find out otherwise. That's why I will see YA and adult sims in the relationships tab with their old toddler traits still listed.

Try a Get To Know and see what happens.

Hi,

I was looking into the forum and then i see that your amazing traits were broken again so i install the sims again and check them and for sure there were not showing up in the trait menu.

I downloaded your fix but then i found out that there is a bug in the update, i fix that bug

      </U>
      <T name="max_value_tuning">1.04845E+29</T>  <------thats wrong
      <T name="min_value_tuning">1.18267E+29</T>   <------thats wrong
      <T name="stat_name">0x00000000</T>
      <L name="states" />
      <T name="ui_render_style">0</T>
      <T name="ui_sort_order">0</T>
      <T name="ui_visible_distress_threshold">0</T>
      <T name="visible">0</T>
    </I>

So i change the script and now i'm looking into getting chubby to work in your trait and there is much more in your trait that i want to work so i hope you don't mind that i look into it again because your trait is one of the best ever written, no it's the best ever written!

Here is the fixed version of your trait i compress it in a RAR file

Best regards Dutch_John

That is really awesome! I'm so glad you found these errors. I wouldn't have noticed. I will play with your fixed versions when I can check them out. I will also update the main page with the new versions when you tell me too. Thanks johnusa
