Job Description

  • Develop a product and platform strategy based on user research, market pulse, innovation and factors changing user behavior
  • Develop product roadmap based on the defined strategy to meet short and long-term product goals.
  • Analyze user reviews on available platforms/ touchpoints, find out competitors’ moves and take pre-emptive strategy to ensure competitive edge over others
  • Deliver specific product and platform based on the strategy, develop timeline in alignment with technical service provider to deliver specific components laid down in the roadmap and execute the plan by breaking down the roadmap into various sprints and assigning respective tasks and deadline to technical service provider
  • Interact with technical service provider to ensure uninterrupted services all the time and investigate anomalies in product performance and work in cross-functional groups to resolve the issues
  • Attain product goals by working with the UI/UX design team/ agency, ensuring high quality UI designs based on the UX and customer stories developed for product features, leading and guiding the UX agency and by leading and facilitating the design team for simplified UI/UX
  • Execute product plans that involves cross-functional teamwork in alignment with product roadmap and growth KPIs
  • Develop framework for the extended project team to figure out the core problems to solve and guide them into resolving it in a timely manner
  • Monitor and highlight the need for product expansion to management and formulate necessary plans and cross-functional teams for execution and keep user growth at the center of product expansion needs
Academic Qualification
  • BBA/ BSc and/or MBA/ MS with major in Marketing/ Finance/ Computer Science/ Telecom Engineering/ Business Strategy/ MIS from any reputed UGC approved university
Job Experience Required
  • At least 5-7 years working experience with product management with proven track record of at least 3-5 years in digital product life-cycle management
Required Capabilities
  • Strong understanding of the OTT industry, digital market landscape and environment
  • Track record of working cross-functionally and influencing senior leadership across groups
  • Sound knowledge in video contents and content management functions
  • The ability to evaluate opportunities and progress towards goals without getting bogged down by complexity or ambiguity
  • The ability to form consensus across a broad, fast-moving organization
  • Experience working in continuous delivery environments where the pace is fast and a focus on execution is critical
  • Expertise of interactive UX/ UI design and methodologies
  • A history of mentoring strong designers and contributing to the design community
  • Understanding of complex workflows designed to scale across diverse operations teams
  • Good analytics and problem-solving ability
  • Team-player who operates in a fast-paced team-oriented setting
  • A willingness to fail and learn
  • Ability to be discrete and maintain confidential information

What is expected of this position (deliverables within next 1 year)
  • This position is expected to lead in terms of product lifecycle management of Toffee across all existing and any new platform(s)
  • Deliver the expected product performance and active users’ targets within the allocated budget
  • Deliver as a senior member of the team, the duties of a product manager to accomplish assigned tasks with objectives to achieve targeted results within any constraint
  • Study the digital market, local & global OTT landscape with specific focus on growth, revenue, content consumption pattern, user segments etc. to plan and develop product strategy & deliver based on the approved roadmap in line with company objectives
