Once the United States Supreme Court overturned Roe v Wade, California Democrats decided to push their murderous agenda with deceptive and misleading words indicating Proposition 1 would allow "reproductive freedom" and an individual's "fundamental right to choose or refuse contraceptives." The fact is, no one is questioning contraceptives. The authors apparently included it to enhance the amendment's success. We the people are not that stupid!
What is Proposition 1?
It began as Senate Constitution Amendment 10 (SCA 10). Once it passed by two-thirds in both Houses, the Assembly and the Senate, it was placed on the Ballot as Proposition 1 for Voters to decide. If Voters pass it, it will be added to the California State Constitution stating that the abortion of a baby, including a healthy baby, could take place up to a moment before birth...
Current California law states an abortion can occur until a baby is viable (i.e., able to survive outside the womb at 22 - 24 weeks). After that, a woman can still have an abortion if her health is in danger, or in the case of rape or incest. Proposition 1 is not needed and if passed will likely draw women from other states to come here for a free abortion, childcare if they bring their kids, and lodging all at taxpayers' expense.
A Survey released this week by Real Impact and Rasmussen Reports revealed that 79% of more than 1,000 potential California voters believe abortion should be limited to the first six months of pregnancy which aligns with current law!
The California Constitution declares that "defending LIFE and liberty, acquiring, possessing and protecting property, and pursuing and obtaining safety, happiness, and privacy are inalienable rights, and that a person may not be deprived of LIFE, liberty, or property without due process of law or equal protection of the laws."
