THE WAY I NEVER WROTE A REVIEW TO THIS??? criminal.

anyway. infinity fucking stars.
this was the best book in the dirty air series. now don’t get me wrong, I adored the entire series.. but this was a masterpiece. every second of it. Santiago Alatorre officially owns a piece of me, and Chloe Carter is right there w him. This book had emotion, humor, banter, love, spice, found family… I couldn’t ask for anything more. no complains, not a single one.

✨SANTICHLOE SUPREMACY✨

also the ironman references may have made my entire day.

5 stars!

“I don’t want to see the world through rose-colored glasses. I want to see it with a wildflower heart like yours, desperately chasing after what makes me happy, wild, and free. And most of all, I want to chase after it with you.”

Lauren Asher has come such a long way with this series and her writing with each book improved so much like I love it so much, the development?? because I know for sure I can spot the difference between her writing style in this book and throttled. The way she deals with mental health in her books will forever be my favorite part about her books because we saw it with Jax and here we see it with Chloe and Santi and it is just so well done right to the last minute details. I also loved the pacing of this book, it was perfect. It wasnt too slow or too fast, it was just perfect because by the end of this book I felt fulfilled. This book was magic and I can easily call this my favorite sports romance 💖

Santiago Alatorre, you guys literally cannot understand the love that I have for him, I waited for his book for the longest time, wanting for it to destroy me and it did but it also brought me so much joy because Santi was the best male lead to read about, his trauma and his disability is portrayed so well and the way Lauren showed how even perfect people are flawed. He was so caring and thoughtful. His character felt very real because we saw Santi go through the worst conditions and we saw him at his darkest parts but his healing journey was so heartfelt and beautiful. I honestly can not stress it enough. His relationship with Marko was so damn cute. Every scene of those two together was so cute (it honestly felt like a single dad romance at times) because Santi treated Marko as his own child and every interaction had me swooning.

Noah and Santi, there relationship deserves a separate paragraph because I have not come across a single book where the bond between two friends is so pure to the extent that they are such a main integral part of their journey and Noah being there for Santi had my heart exploding 💗 the steps that Noah took for Santi, to have him back, to give him his life back had me on the edge of tears because if you look back at their relationship in throttled where they nearly hated each other, it feels so surreal to see them bonding to this length.

Chloe, man I loved her so much, she was the perfect representation of sunshine and she brought so much light into this book and Santi's journey. I liked how the story focused on her health as well and how she was suffering from domestic abuse as well and the way she coped through it and found her courage to deal with it was so damn admirable and I loved how determined she was. She set a goal to find her father and she literally traveled all the way to Italy to do so and man I felt so bad for her at times but I loved how the story wrapped up for her. Her relationship with Brooke is also so underrated because like Santi had Noah, Chloe had Brooke with her throughout her dark times and I love when friendships like theirs are represented throughout books.

The romance, was easily my favorite part for this book. Santi and Chloe were a match made in heaven. The way they both were so troubled with their lives but felt so comfortable with each other, so at peace and felt so real. How Chloe brought out the best parts of Santi that he thought he lost long ago and the way Santi did that for Chloe was perfect. I love how well their relationship was developed and how unlike most romance elements in this series this one did not have insta-lust because it made the relationship more fleshed out and more drawn out. The moment their Hate to love fake dating started, I knew that I was going to be head over heels in love with them and I was so right about that, the tension and the chemistry between them felt so real and the way both of them just connected with each other had me in tears, I also was not expecting there relationship to be so deep and I absolutely loved how deep it actually was because it just made it 100x better.

The way their interactions were so well done and the whole overall vibe of their encounters and the build up to their romance was done perfectly and the best part was the romance actually played such a main role in their healing journey that, that alone made it worth my time and I honestly did not even feel the need for smut (there were like two scenes) but I would have enjoyed the book the same amount if there were none because the relationship was so pure that it could stand-out without the need for smut. One more thing that I appreciated a lot was how Santi was so caring about Chloe and lengths that he went for her to feel home and for her to be safe and loved and I also loved how Chloe brought down this wall that Santi had built around her throughout the years he suffered and ahh I cannot stress- I dont even have the words to tell you how perfect it was.

I actually want a spin-off series (dirty heirs) pls let it be Laurens next project. Overall, it was the best conclusion, that somehow managed to exceed my already high expectations and I would recommend it to everyone. It is Lauren Ashers finest work.

Quotes that I loved:

“Because in the end, nothing is more fearful than realizing life goes on, with or without you”

“I think we owe it to ourselves to unapologetically love who we are no matter what. Because if you don’t love yourself, then why do you expect anyone else to?”

“Because those who see beauty in chaos also see flowers instead of weeds, and that’s a gift in a world like ours.”

"Loving you feels like I found a life raft in the middle of a raging ocean."

“She’s like the moon who shines bright despite the never-ending darkness. And she makes me want to wish that daylight never comes again.”

Song that I loved listening to while reading this: National Anthem by Lana Del Rey

Rating for the series:
Throttled: 4.25
Collided: 3.75
Wrecked: 4.45
Redeemed: 5.00

"You want to know what love feels like?"
"Yes."
"Loving you feels like I found a life raft in the middle of a raging ocean."

This book was perfect. Everything went right in this. The characters, the romance, the plot, the writing, mental health rep- basically everything. I swear this one is the best in the series. It made up for the bs Wrecked was..

"Loving you is like the first day of spring after a harsh winter.
Loving you is like the ocean. Infinite. Fierce. Breathtaking."

Santiago and Chloe made me yearn for something that they have. The two actually connected, and had genuine chemistry. The romance and the bond between them was so beautifully crafted and went in so deep, that I didn't even care for any spice. I could just read about them talking to each other for another 500+ pages with no regrets. They corrected their mistakes, called the other out, laughed together and genuinely wanted to know each other. One of the best parts about this book? It's not insta love. Sure, there's attraction but they take their time.

Santiago and Chloe also have traumas that ran deep, both different and yet that's not all they are. Lauren Asher brilliantly writes the mental health representation, shows the reality of coping with disability, domestic violence, abuse, drug addiction and miscarriage.

Another thing that I appreciated was Noah and Santiago's friendship. Noah, you brilliant man. Thanks for that support you showed my man Santiago.

It sucks that this series is over. It sucks that I now have to come back to reality. But am so happy I read this series. I would say Redeemed and Throttled are the best ones.

Series Rating-
1. Throttled- ⭐⭐⭐⭐
2. Collided- ⭐⭐⭐⭐
3. Wrecked- ⭐⭐
4. Redeemed- ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

♾️ Infinite stars for Santiago and Chloe because this book was beyond P E R F E C T I O N . I lived and loved their story and ate every word and every chloesantiago moment. I thought I was just obsessed with Santi when he first appeared in Throttled but now he owns my heart. For me this book was everything and I won't change a single thing about it. Santiago and Chloe have all my heart.

“She’s like the moon who shines bright despite the never-ending darkness. And she makes me want to wish that daylight never comes again.”

I dived in this book with so many expectations and every one of them was proved right. I knew I would be giving this book a 5 stars just after reading the first few chapters and prologue. Lauren why do you always write such emotional prologues. I was heartbroken after reading what happened to Santiago and how it broke everything inside him. The starting was chaotic and iconic. Chloe climbed a tree in his future husband's house and and kicked him in the balls and called him a theif and then they ended up fake dating each other.

The story was perfect. Heartwarming, beautiful and comforting but also heartbreaking because of what both the characters went through in their life. I cried so many times but there were moments that had me giggling, swooning and squealing because how cute and wholesome they were together. I loved everything—their witty banter, fake dating, their chemistry, the sexual tension which was palpable and hot, the way they confessed their love for each other, their little family moments with Marko, the found family trope when Santi's family accepted Chloe as their own and Santiago calling Chloe "my little criminal", "little wildflower" 💗💞💘🦋✨️ Just add a little with any nickname to throw my feminism out the window.

“You suck,” Chloe mumbles under her breath.
I tuck a strand of her hair behind her ear and lean in to whisper, “My goal is for you to suck, but this is good enough for now.”

I loved the way healing and trauma was represented and how they both helped each other in that process. It was not just mentioned for the sake of making this a sad story but there was actual focus on Santiago's journey and how he gained his confidence and how Chloe and Noah helped him healed mentally and physically. I loved that he did it and made those decisions for himself and for his future.

“It’s just a game.”
“It’s more than that.”
“How so?”
“This is your redemption.”

This was a small town romance set up in Italy but with no nosy neighbours and I loved it. The vibes in this book were everything. I loved that we also get to see Noah and Maya in this and how their life was going so far. I didn't like Noah in his book but possessive husband and protective daddy Noah is something else 🤭💘 and Marko was so cute 🥹 My ovaries were bursting everytime Santi spent his time with Marko and how Marko calls him his Iron Man 🥹 I knew Santi will have the most kids in this series because his personality literally screams "I'm the daddiest daddy material give me all the kids."

“Some kisses stoke a passion. Some kisses heal the soul. Kissing Chloe is a combination of two—the sweetest medicine that leads to a lifelong addiction.”

Lauren's writing has improved a lot. This is my favourite book of her so far and it was written so beautifully. It's the way she focused on characters' growth throught the story and how there was more of an emotional and intimate connection between Santi and Chloe than just lust and physical attraction. It was amazing to see how she focused on Santiago's disablity and his journey to racing in F1 again.

➸ Santiago Alatorre

He is hot, a F1 racer, has a hot name, he cooks, plays guitar, he babysits, he blushes for his girl and he's grumpy and he can also be so sweet sometimes. My kind of kryptonite. I was heartbroken everytime he denied that he couldn't become the racer he was. He secluded himself from the world and he was lonely everyday for 3 years. It was painful to see him go through all that. But I loved how he tried to be better for himself and for the future he wanted with Chloe. Man was so rich that he had SIXTEEN BEDROOMS IN HIS GOTHIC MANSION!?!? I loved that Santi isn't like other MMCs written by Lauren. He did liked Chloe and was attracted towards her but atleast he wasn't lusting after her like the other MMCs in this series. Santiago raised my standards to another level because he recreated Chloe's favourite scene from her favourite movie 😭😭, embroidered her a gift, wrote a letter and even gave her a bouquet of wildflowers!?!??! And you are telling me that SANTIAGO ALATORRE IS FICTIONAL!??! He is the definition of perfect book husband.

“And most of all, loving you is realizing heaven isn’t a place, but a person.”

➸ Chloe Carter

The sunshine of this book. Her first day in Italy to find and establish a relationship with her father who never knew she ever existed and she already broke into someone's (Santi's) house, tried to climb his tree and fell, knee him in the balls, and also had a crush on him even though she thought he was dangerous, fled from there but left her phone in Santi's house but called him the thief, and then again tried to break into his house and became his fake girlfriend. She is chaotic, sweet but also very kindhearted. I love how she bosses around Santi sometimes and didn't let him have his way with her. I loved the way she helped Santi to get him out of his bubble and the way she loved him so selflessly. One thing that I learned from her is that wishes so do come true whether you write in youe wish journal or not.

“And most of all, loving you is realizing I don’t have to make a wish ever again because I already have everything I could ever want.”

╰┈➤ Their relationship

They went from fake-hate dating to helping each other to loving each other. Their relationship progressed throughout the entire book and I loved every second of it. The slow burn in this was burning and the chemitry between them was amazing. Chloe never had any love or loving family in her life but Santi was there for her to show her that very thing with his actions. He even set up a online shop for her and bought every machine and material she needed to start her embroidery business. I love them with all my heart.

“You might not realize it, but you’re a wildflower. You grow in the most unexpected places, no matter who tramples on you or ignores your beauty. You can grow in a field, or through a crack in the sidewalk, but the result will always be the same. No one can stop you from flourishing in a world set on ignoring you. You have a way of turning any situation, good or bad, into something magnificent.”

I loved that how Chloe made Santi feel comfortable in his own skin before they had any physically intimacy. He wasn't comfortable in showing his prosthetic leg to anyone so she just gave him time he needed but also showed him that he is everything she ever wanted. The intimacy they shared was beyond just some lust or attraction. They fit so well in each other's life like they were made from the same yet the different mould and were just waiting to find their way back to each other. I guess you could say they are ✨️ SOULMATES ✨️

“I promise it doesn’t matter to me if you’re missing a leg, or an arm, or anything else. It doesn’t define the person you are.” She places her palm against my heart. “This does. And you happen to have one of the prettiest ones.”

“Chloe didn’t just steal a piece of my heart. She carved her initials into it, branding me for life.”

I loved the way Chloe slowly and steadily broke the walls Santi had build around himself and helped him move on and healed him in the darkest moments of his life and how Santi helped her when she was trying to get to know her father and and earned her trust and love and told her how she deserves so much more in her life. It was beautiful.

“It took one chance encounter with a stranger to change my life. One person to make me realize that I can’t love someone else until I love myself. One dreamer who makes me want to wish in journals or on lucky stars or on damn dandelions for all I care. One girl. One love. One forever.”

The ending was perfect with the sweetest and the most wholesome and heartwarming epilogue ever. There was a bit conflict in the end but it wasn't dragged out and I didn't mind it because the way Santi asked for Chloe's forgiveness was everything and it skyrocketed my expectations to another level. I never was a fan of HEA until Lauren's books. This book had one of the beautiful and the cutest epilogue. Can Lauren just write some more bonus chapters for them because I want MORE and this wasn't enough. I also want Marko and Stella's book. Marko is just like Noah but better and Stella seems like she'll be making him run for his life. Santiago and Chloe's story was the perfect one to end this series.

— Some more beautiful quotes —

➸ “I wish to find someone who appreciates my presence instead of destroying it.”

➸ “Magic is everywhere and in everything. People only have to believe in it for it to work. If you notice it, then embrace it because that’s what makes us dreamers.”

➸ “Because those who see beauty in chaos also see flowers instead of weeds, and that’s a gift in a world like ours.”

➸ “Life is about creating the memories that matter, while forgetting the ones that don’t.”

➸ “No man is worth my time if he isn’t willing to battle my demons with me.”

➸ “I think we owe it to ourselves to unapologetically love who we are no matter what. Because if you don’t love yourself, then why do you expect anyone else to?”

4.5 stars!!🌟

。・゚・"Where most people see weeds, I only see you—my beautiful wildflower, untamed and free." ・゚゚・。

I have read 8 books from Lauren Asher so far but I can CONFIDENTLY say this one has become my favorite book of her!!(final offer comes second)

The romance ,story, character development and a representation which im not going to mention due to spoiler, were all so beautifly written!! things happen in the right pace and makes you want to read it in one sitting. i could have given it 5 starts but something happened at the end that got me REALLY mad so that's why, other than that this book was pure perfection maybe I'm being too picky !

。・゚・“I love you, Chloe. And it’s okay if you don’t know what it means to be loved by someone, let alone love someone else because I promise to love you enough for the two of us. To love you every day to make up for everyone else who failed miserably.” ・゚゚・。

On top of all that Santi’s character was THE best MCs she has written so far! he even did embroidery for her, I almost fainted out of this cute gesture !😭😭

。・゚・"“Accepting that, while I can never be the man I was, I can become a man you want to be with.”" ・゚゚・。

I am not ready to say goodbye to this series. I am sitting here a week later and still think about how this book affected me. At three percent, I was sobbing and at ten percent, I was laughing so hard; I was crying. F1 is my favorite, and Lauren Asher kills it. Each time she perceives the book before.

I was not a fan of Santi until this book. What happened to him, in the beginning, my heart poured out for him. But man, I didn't see half of what was to come and how he grew. I fell in love with him. You couldn't ask for a better book boyfriend. A tortured soul that went through such trauma. How he turned it around and held his head up high. So proud of him.

Chloe hooked me in for the beginning. How she survived her childhood and moved forward, so inspiring. Now add heart of gold, sass, small criminal activity, with a smart mouth, you now have the perfect heroine. She made me laugh out loud on several occasions.

There’s three pedals. Why are there three pedals?” She moans

“Because automatic cars are for grandmas.”  “Okay, that’s fine. I’ll own up to being a grandma because I barely go out anyway. I mean, I embroider as a hobby. I’m practically one year away from fostering cats and living the rest of my life attached to an oxygen tank.”

Santi teaching Chole to drive is the funniest, ever. To me. Their relationship is perfect with high and low and growth together. Such a beautiful love story. We see all our favorites. Noah played a big part in the book and still proves how he takes care of the ones he loves.

Every time I read a book in this series, I realize how much I miss the racing world. I get lost in her writing and can picture the race in front of me. Asher is a very talented writer. I hope to see a spin-off series and read about the next generation. If you haven't read this series, I recommend you do. You will not be disappointed.

“Because those who see beauty in chaos also see flowers instead of weeds, and that’s a gift in a world like ours.”

Wow! Lauren, you managed to surprise me with this one! I loved this so much, and it has become my favorite of the series. The way that the writing has improved and how she interpreted depression and a disability was just absolutely beautiful.

Redeemed is the final book in the Dirty Air series. It is a fake dating, one bed, gumpy/sunshine, F1 sports romance with trauma, healing, forced proximity, and witty and sexy banter that was everything. There were definitely moments that had my heart breaking and pulling at my heartstrings, but also times when I couldn't stop my out loud laughter.

Santiago Alatorre experienced a life changing event during one of his races when he crashed, causing him to lose his driving leg. Now, three years later, he has secluded himself to his home and closed himself off from the world, including his family. That is until Chloe Carter is caught climbing his tree to get a view into her father's yard. He startles her, causing her to fall and lose her phone, and she leaves in a hurry, leaving her phone behind. The next night, she returns and breaks into his house to retrieve her phone only to be met by Santiago's sister and brother-in-law. He had been trying to prove to them that he is capable of watching his nephew while they're away for the F1 break. He tells them that Chloe is his girlfriend and is going to help him out with babysitting. Santiago shows up at the coffee shop Chloe is working at one day to tell her the truth about who he is and to apologize to her. But her boss intervenes, and she panics, telling him that he is her boyfriend in hopes that she can get closer to him and reveal her secret of him being her father. Will she get to have a relationship with her father that she wishes for? And will her and Santiago stop pretending and tell each other how they really feel?

“You shouldn’t have doubted me.” “I never did.” “Then why make a bet in the first place?” “Because how can you focus on being anxious if you’re too focused on winning something you want?” My gaze darkens as I focus on her lips. “I won more than a race today.” She winks. “And don’t you forget it.”

I loved the relationship between Noah and Santiago. They have formed a brotherly bond that is strong, still pushing each other when given the chance. We also met Marko, Maya, and Noah's son, who is just the cutest. We didn't see much of the other couples from the other books, but they all showed up when Santiago needed them. I love their connection and found family so much!

Chloe Carter destroyed me in every way I needed. She broke me apart before gluing me back together, repairing me from the inside out. I’m not letting this girl get away. Not now and not ever.

“I love you, Chloe. And it’s okay if you don’t know what it means to be loved by someone, let alone love someone else because I promise to love you enough for the two of us. To love you every day to make up for everyone else who failed miserably.”

Santiago and Chloe have both been hurt in their lives, though, in different ways. Chloe grew up in a toxic home with her mother until she was placed in foster care with her mother still trying to take advantage of her now and Santiago was off to a good start of his career when it was taken from him and he allowed it to take over his life that is until Chloe. She doesn't see him the way he sees himself as a broken man and pushes him to love himself again and he helps her with overcoming her fear of letting someone show her what it feels like to be cared for and loved. Together, they help each other heal.

Where most people see weeds, I only see you— my beautiful wildflower, untamed and free.

“Life is about creating the memories that matter while forgetting the ones that don’t.”

I adored the gestures that they did for one another. Chloe supported Santiago and pushed him to fight for one of the things that he wanted most, and that was behind the wheel of an F1 car and racing again. I adored that he made a craft room for her embroidery because she loves to make things, and she had a custom helmet made for him with Iron Man's arc reactor symbol on it because that's what Marko calls him.

“And most of all, loving you is realizing I don’t have to make a wish ever again because I already have everything I could ever want.”

I loved the ending and epilogue it was beautiful and heartwarming, making me cry happy tears for them. There was a misunderstanding when Santi was trying to protect Chloe, but he redeemed himself in the best ways. I'm sad to be saying goodbye to this series, but it couldn't have ended any better than with Santiago and Chloe getting everything that they hoped and wished for because they deserve nothing less.

I’m obsessed!! What a fucking way to end a series. Then to top it all off with that extended epilogue, I am deceased.

Santiago, I absolutely loved him in Throttled and couldn’t wait for his book! Let’s just say it definitely exceeded all expectations I had. I loved all the little things he did that made all the difference throughout their relationship. I loved his and Noah’s friendship. This was just the perfect grumpy/sunshine trope that had me laughing my ass off half the time. The banter was unmatched and him and Chloe just worked SO well together.

Chloe was interesting from the start. I literally had tears in my eyes when she kicked Santiago’s leg and so just knew from then on she was going to be my favorite heroine. She was so supportive towards Santi and her optimism was just what he needed. This book just felt domestic the entire time because straight from the beginning they clicked.

Now, their epilogue was perfection. I couldn’t have asked for a better way to end the series and their story, but then the extended?!?!? 100% was the cherry on top!

i am not lying when this book had me giggling like a fucking idiot in the subway because of how wholesome it was (despite the context). the banter between chloe and santi was fucking everything. santi is such a husband material guy i nearly threw up. and noah my love you were fucking perfect in this book <3

thanks god for lauren asher and the dirty air series. it has been an incredible journey with these four assholes and their goddesses ♡

This was an okay and fun read, till we reached the third act conflict (the last 100 pages) that was both expected and annoying. Her reaction was so unfair and didn’t make sense.

The series as a whole isn’t a favourite of mine and kinda forgettable, but it wasn’t totally bad tho. Some parts I really enjoyed, but I kinda struggled to connect with the characters.

#1 Throttled ~ 2.25 stars
#2 Collided ~ 2.5 stars
#3 Wrecked ~ 3.5 stars

God am I going to miss this universe…
This was literally the perfect way to round up this series! It was absolutely gorgeous and I do understand now why people say that this is their favourite out of all the other books.

Santi and Chloe had my heart and soul since page one. They were so fun to read about and I couldn’t stop.
They way their relationship developed was absolutely amazing and made me fall in love with them within seconds. The way Santi kept describing Chloe and the way he thought about her made me so freaking jealous. It had my heart aching for a guy like him. Like Santi is literally the perfect boyfriend and I‘m so happy for Chloe because she deserves to have people like him around her!!

Santi‘s story was also so tragic and attention grabbing! Same as his character development! With the things he had the go through since the beginning… oh man I admire him so much and he deserves nothing but the best in the world. Both him and Chloe do.
The way they were both there for one another and fought for each other and for themselves was absolutely beautiful.

I‘m so glad that both were able to get their happy ending after everything they‘ve been through.

The writing style of Lauren Asher just kept on getting better throughout the series, which is really impressive and admiring!
Same as her story building! Like the plot from this book compared to Throttled is absolutely outstandingly better! It makes me kind of proud lol.

Overall, I do understand why everyone says that Santi and Chloe is their favourite couple out of the series. However, for me personally, Elena and Jax are still my number one couple..
Nevertheless, I loved every second of Redeemed and I‘m going to miss all the characters in this universe. It was an amazing ride!

Chloe travels to Europe to find her dad and ends up bumping into grumpy Santi, who has become very closed off. Chloe is the definition of sunshine “the glass is always half full” and Santi is MR. GRUMPY. They keep crossing paths which eventually lead them to fake dating. That’s all I am going to say because I don’t want to spoil too much, but this was such a good grumpy sunshine, fake dating story!! I loved the development of Santi and Chloe’s relationship. They went from not liking each other, to being friends, then building that trust within each other to become lovers! I felt like this really focused a lot on “you need to love yourself in order to love someone else” for him and she needed to learn how to put down her walls to love someone for the first time. I adored their relationship. One thing I also loved in this book (surprisingly) was Noah! He moved up a number on the bf list because WOW. I felt like he had amazing character growth and this book showed a brotherly relationship I’ve grown to love. I enjoyed seeing the relationship Santi had developed with Noah, Maya, and his nephew Marko. He was able to grow so much because of Chloe. Chloe and Santi were broken in different ways and they made each other whole. You get super attached to Santi and Chloe just thinking about how much they grew together from the beginning of the book. There were SUCH cute moments/quotes, Santi had me swooning. ALSO THE EXTENDED EPILOGUE!! SO AMAZING. I love how we got to see each couple with the series and the families they created. Everyone got their happy ending and my heart was so full seeing the different kids and hints of their personalities. I’m beyond excited to read about the next generation! I felt like this was such a great way to end the series. Thank you for creating this universe @laurenasherauthor 💜

This was my most anticipated read in the series and it did not let me down.

The grumpy/sunshine trope always has my heart and I can’t express how much I love Santi and Chloe. Their story was so beautiful and they were completely made for each other.

It was wonderful to see Chloe be there for Santi in a way no one else has ever been and to help him overcome everything he has been through. It also made me so happy to also see Santi be there for Chloe and to show her what the true definition of love is.

It’s always bittersweet finishing a series but ending with Santi and Chloe’s story was just perfection. Also getting to see all the couples together one last time made me smile so big.

Please go read this series, it’s so great. I will read anything Lauren Asher writes including her grocery list. I can’t wait for her next release! Bandini forever 💛

“I don’t want to see the world through rose-colored glasses. I want to see it with a wildflower heart like yours, desperately chasing after what makes me happy, wild, and free. And most of all, I want to chase after it with you.” 🫶🏻

You have a way of turning any situation, good or bad, into something magnificent.”

fake dating? ✅
forced proximity? ✅
friends to lovers? ✅
one bed? ✅
age gap? ✅
grump x sunshine? ✅
small town romance? ✅

this book had alot of my favorite tropes and i really enjoyed this one so much. santiago and chloe were so adorable and i seriously loved each and every quote written in this book. the only thing i didn’t like about the book that i felt it was really fast paced like they started fake dating really fast which i didnt like tbh😭 but the whole book was great i loved them sm

i loved how chloe pushed santiago to keep going with the thing he loves and never fears of being different and i loved how she accepted him and showed him how he truly deserves to be loved

“This is me, and this is the person Chloe has always accepted. Hell, this is the person I accept. None of it would’ve been possible to begin with without Chloe. Because of her and my push toward rejoining F1, I can finally embrace some confidence. ”

“Chloe didn’t just bring back a part of me that was missing. She helped me grow into someone better than ever before, and for that, she has my loyalty and love.”

i also loved how santiago cared about chloe they both brought the best put of each other and they were there for each other the whole time santiago loved and cared about chloe so much and i cant help but feel so happy for both of them they deserve the whole world and also how he calls her wildflower and cares about her feelings hes so😩😩

“Tears prick my eyes. Never in my life have I felt this loved and cherished. It’s a blessing to feel so damn important to someone, to the point that they make sure I know it every single day. Santiago Alatorre loves me in a way that most people spend their whole lives chasing. And I love him equally as much.

Santiago taught me how there’s a difference between want and need. I need him. Like the trees need sunlight or the ocean needs the tide. Being around him is becoming something fundamental for me.”

i dont want to make this long but i will only share my favorite scenes from the book

💘 when santiago wanted to apologize to chloe and tried doing an embroidery circle and wrote her a letter THE CUTEST LETTER I HAVE EVER READ

“Santiago crafted a field of wildflowers, making up every color of the rainbow. It’s hands-down the best gift anyone has given me.
A wobbly looking quote takes up the top of the design.
Where most people see weeds, I only see you—my beautiful wildflower, untamed and free.”

💘when chloe showed santiago her wish journal and she told him to write his own wish

“I wish that Chloe Carter falls in love with someone worthy of her eighties-loving heart. That she finds that soul-crushing, heart-mending, passion-fueled love. A love that leaves her desperate for more because nothing that amazing should ever be done in moderation. The same love I found with her.”

💘 when he took her to a field of wildflowers

“A field of wildflowers stretches on forever. Flowers of every color dance in the wind, swaying together in perfect harmony. There’s not a single soul nearby except for the birds chirping in the distance.
It’s absolutely stunning, and all I want to do is run through them.”

💘 when chloe planned santiago’s first race event and invited his family and made him an ironman helmet

“Chloe places something in my hands, and I look down at it. It’s a new custom race helmet. Iron Man’s arc reactor symbol is centered at the top, surrounded by the Spanish flag. I flip it around and check out the back. A custom sticker with Chloe’s dainty writing is located at the bottom of the helmet.
You might be the hero in my story, but you’re the legend in theirs.
This is one of the best gifts someone has given me.”

💘 when she told him she missed her bestfriend brooke and he surprised her with bringing brooke

“I didn’t even need to make a wish for it to come true. All I needed was Santiago—a man set on proving the magic isn’t the wish itself, but the people who make the dream come true.”

this review took so long and i took so long to finish it too but i love santichloe with all my heart and the whole dirty air family i will miss them all so much and cant wait for a spinoff tbh i want to know more about their kids

“I won more than a Championship. I won a woman who makes me appreciate every day how lucky I am to have survived that crash in the first place. Because I couldn’t imagine never meeting the one person who completes me. I never believed in soulmates before you, but I’ll be damned if you didn’t make me a dreamer with your wishes and wildflowers and smile that could make any bad day instantly better.”

“There’s no doubt in my mind that I love this fearless man with everything in me. The man who taught me love isn’t something to be feared but revered. The very one who spends every single day of his life showing me how much he loves me—with his words, with his actions, with every breath he takes to support our family.
I’ll love Santiago Alatorre for as long as the wildflowers keep growing in beautiful chaos.”

first read: 13 march’21: 5stars

“Because those who see beauty in chaos also see flowers instead of weeds, and that’s a gift in a world like ours.”

I’m in awe. This was my first novel by this author and I lovedddd it! I loved how the author portrayed her characters in a way which made it impossible to not love them!

“I wish to find someone who appreciates my presence instead of destroying it.”

Chloe is no doubt one of the best and kindest heroines I’ve read this year till now. She’s very sassy and fun but even she has a little baggage which makes her even more relatable and a character who you cant help but love.

“I wish that Chloe Carter falls in love with someone worthy of her eighties-loving heart. That she finds that soul-crushing, heart-mending, passion-fueled love. A love that leaves her desperate for more because nothing that amazing should ever be done in moderation. The same love I found with her.”

Santiago is a guy who is lost. He had an injury which left one of his legs dysfunctional and he feels like its the end for him cause he had to give up racing which he adored with everything he had. I can’t say he’s perfect - he has his moments but everyone would if you lost something so dear to you. His character is broken but you can’t love him any less. I fell in love with him in the first page and then he just started becoming better and better. I mean, he cooks, he babysits and he’s grumpy? Fuck yes! We see so much of character development and I’m here for ittt!

“She describes her loneliness as a weakness, but I only see it as a strength. While people like me shrivel away in the shadows, people like her create their own light. She’s like the moon who shines bright despite the never-ending darkness.
And she makes me want to wish that daylight never comes again.”

Overall, i really loved and enjoyed this book! I loved the scenes with cute lil’ Marko, loved the banter, the sexual tension🔥 and side characters!

“She’s my kaleidoscope in a world of gray.”

wrecked and redeemed are in another league actually ITS THAT GOOD.

i loved santi's character ever since throttled and chloe is sunshine incarnate despite her experiences.

the love they have for each other is so pure it left me in tears several times. idk if i want to be santi or chloe SERIOUSLY

the best conclusion for the dirty air series hands down.

There was some really amazing, deep level shit going on in this book that I really enjoyed. I love a good grumpy, damaged character and Santi checked all the right boxes. I thought Chloe was his perfect match and I enjoyed seeing how she slowly brought him back to life. There was a lot about this book I can try to rave about - but if you’re familiar with my reviews, you know I’m not gonna do that.

So like I said, there was a lot I really enjoyed - but there were also a couple things I didn’t. First, there was instant attraction which I’m always meh about. Second, I think they kissed too early - it could have easily been pushed off a little to make it more of a slower burn. Third, I didn’t love how the whole ending thing went down. I liked the groveling aspect - but I feel like she was overreacting and the moment was overdramatized.

There were a couple other random things but it doesn’t really matter because I realized that I started getting bored as I got closer to the end which is never a good sign.

Something I’ve noticed about the entire dirty air series is that I never had the urge to keep wanting to flip the page. I can’t pinpoint why - but I had a hard time staying completely focused on every book in this series and would find myself always putting it down between chapters, pages and even mid-page sometimes. I would blame it on my current mood if I didn’t notice the same feeling for all 4 books.

I’m happy I finally finished the series though because I’ve been slowly working on it for almost a year now. I read book one too long ago to say forsure but I think it might have been my favorite. Either the first one or this last one - but I would have to do a re-read to say forsure.

omg omggggg this is by far my favorite book in the entire series. Santiago is my favorite man, and Chloe has to be one of my favorite female personalities i’ve read the point of views of. The extended epilogue is so adorable I loved it so much, and it perfectly builds up the dirty heirs that Lauren is writing soon. anyways the story was amazing, the pacing was impeccable the quotes, the development, the relationship everything it lacked nothing!

i have officially finished the dirty air series and to say i am sad is not enough to describe how i feel. i really grew to be attached and in love with this series and characters and redeemed was the perfect book to finish it off.

chloe and santi - sunshine and grump. i fell in love with these two in the first 70 pages. they had me smiling like crazy not even 100 pages in! chloe has had it rough growing up but she never let that define her or rule her life and for that i admire her so much. she was the most caring, sunshine, always pushing you to be better character that i adore so much. and santi! this man stole my hEART! it broke my heart what he went through. i had not been expecting that in the prologue but i am so proud of him for overcoming his fears and growing.

these two were made for each other. chloe was there for santi in a way no one had ever been able to be there for him and chloe was exactly what santi needed. and when chloe never had love nor a constant person in her life, santi was there to love her unconditionally. their story was truly beautiful. i love these two so damn much, santi & chloe are for sure my favorite couple from the whole series.
