The main US oil contract fell on Thursday to levels where it stood before Russia’s late February invasion of Ukraine sent crude prices soaring.

West Texas Intermediate dropped 0.9 percent to $89.86 in afternoon trading in Europe while the main international contract, Brent, shed 1.22 percent to $95.58.
