Dear Applicant,

Thank you for your interest in Training Course "Game in Action" that will take place from 20-27 November, 2021 in GYUMRI, ARMENIA.

The project aims at giving space for youth workers/leaders and trainers to improve their game- based learning and teaching in their youth work experience and  assist  young people in enhancement of their soft skills and civic competences through thematic  games.

As far as learning and teaching approach is a very global concept and digital sciences have  emerged into learning environments and affected both the teaching of educators and the learning of young people, game-based learning which means including knowledge matter of subject into games,   can be successfully used to improve both processes. It can happen through using games in the instructions. Nowadays, one of the main issues is  to find new ways of grabbing the attention of learners and engaging them in the learning process and civic engagements. Game based learning plays an important role in educating, training by making learners to collaborate, communicate, interact and work in teams. This keeps the interest in learning process, meanwhile  solving real-life problems with  the help of effective learning process. As the experience shows the knowledge and skills acquired through games are retained longer than information from other learning methods. For the effective learning, we need games that are well designed and well implemented learning tasks. This can combine the learning objectives with the fun and entertainment, providing sustainable knowledge and skills.

We consider that this training course as a combination of more common non-formal learning methods, online and digital tools and outdoor experiences would make  it more efficient and special. It will create a space for the youth workers and youth leaders to know a range of games  which could be used in educational purposes, as well as for the combination of entertainment and  learning process.
