Review and Reflection on Domestic ESP Research in the Past Two DecadesChinese Full Text

Abstract: The paper,based on the ESP research in ten core domestic journals between 1985 and 2008,reveals that ESP study slowly warms up focused on seven subjects in five relevant areas,with non-empirical approaches.It finds out that such issues and problems exist as limited scopes of research with no application of the advanced methods and achievements in pedagogy and psychology,rarely-seen positive researches,deficient teachers education study,and dubious feasibility study in practice.
