Let’s learn from youth activists themselves and share inspiration and mess-ups from Estonia and Ireland!
Deborah Fakeye: Deborah is an 19 year aspiring Law student from Dublin, Ireland. She has just completed a post secondary school gap year that gave her the opportunity to focus on her activism and also try to master the art of adulting. She has been involved in activism and youth representation with Youth Work Ireland since she was 15, becoming President of the organisation last year. She's passionate about European politics and was one of 24 activists for the #GiveAVote campaign organised by the European Youth Card Association last year that served to motivate young people to vote in the EU Elections. Nationally, she is an advocate for improving sexual health education and youth participation in decision making. When she’s not campaigning on topics such as racial equality, sex education and LGBT+ rights , she loves all things beauty, baking, books and reality tv.
Karl Andreas Sprenk: Karl has been active in youth field for about 8 years through advocacy activities and coordinating initiatives in multiple organisations. He has been Vice-chairman of Estonian School Student Councils Union as well Tallinn University Student Union. For 3 years he supported Estonian National Youth Council policy making and setting the communication messages. One of his passions is project management - he has been coordinating multiple Erasmus+ KA2 and KA3 initiatives and the latest, Young Decision Makers, was shortlisted for Salto PI Awards. Karl is currently working for the Ministry of Education and Research and is doing his Masters in Tallinn University of Technology.
Mikk Tarros: Mikk is the Development Advisor of the Estonian National Youth Council (ENL). He makes sure that youth organisations are the leading actors in their field and that they have socially significant impact. He has been involved in various youth organisations and activities, previously being the Vice-chairman of Estonian School Student Councils Union and later Vice-chairman of Estonian National Youth Council. In his current position Mikk focuses on leading projects and supporting advocacy on National and European level. Mikk loves to travel and is always interested in learning about other countries practises.

The overall purpose of SALTO PI is to develop strategic and innovative action to encourage youth participation in democratic life, including through:
- fostering the involvement of young people in democratic decision-making;
- fostering youth participation in civic and social life through volunteering or taking up a role in youth organisations;
- developing expertise on evolving trends in youth participation, including through digital means;
- developing expertise on young people's skills that enhance and underpin their effective participation, including media literacy, sense of initiative and communication;
- providing guidance to and support for all NAs on state-of-the art strategies for reaching out to a higher number of young people, increasing quality and impact of information activities as well as their inclusiveness and the sustainability and transferability of project results.

Costs
Participation fee
There is no participation fee. Selected participants will have to confirm their participation and be available to attend the webinar. In case of cancellation less than 2 days before the webinar takes place, SALTO PI might take this into account in selection of participants in future events. We request responsibility and keeping agreements.
Accommodation and food
The event takes place online and there are no related costs to accommodation and food.
Travel reimbursement
The webinar does not require travelling and no reimbursements are foreseen.
