Louis Vuitton sets sail in Hong Kong with Pre-Fall 2024 Men’s collection

Hong Kong’s Victoria Harbour segued into a Hawaiian beach, replete with palm trees and ukuleles serenading guests as they arrived. With artificial waves breaking on screens and real sand covering the runway, the pre-collection celebrated the power of connection created by travel. Nautical inspiration guided the show under the auspices of the moon and stars as the Hong Kong skyline melded with nature.  Aspiring sailors sported berets and double-breasted suits paired with flared trousers, joined by fishermen in denim jackets wearing boots or sandals. Shell motifs and tattoo embellishments accentuated vivid Hawaiian floral prints.  

Shirts, shorts and even suits appropriate the motif for a contemporary accent, affirming Hong Kong’s multicultural vibe. Sunset pink and sparkling floral embroidery added to the radiance of the collection.  

Surfers finished their ride to show off wetsuits adorned with beaded logos. Accessories channel travel souvenirs, a mix of multicolored necklaces, sunglasses, surfboards, raffia bucket hats or crab-shaped bag charms. Bag icons are reimagined through the lenses of sailing, including an authentic duffle bag and a new Surfing Monogram inspired by the Hawaiian floral prints. A Keepall 25 is hand-embroidered with seashells. The majestic finale drew gazes skyward, where a constellation of drones illustrated the LVers philosophy through dancing figures.
