Mediterranean resorts of France

The western part of the Mediterranean coast of France (fr. Côte d’Vermillion, Côte d’Améthyste) is located in the region of Occitania. The Occitania region was formed in 2016, after the unification of the Languedoc-Roussillon and South-Pyrenees regions. Despite changes in the administrative structure, the name Languedoc – Roussillon for this region is often found in guidebooks.

The French Riviera (fr. Côte d’Azur) is the Mediterranean coastline of the southeast corner of France. As a tourist centre, the French Riviera benefits from 310 to 330 days of sunshine per year, 115 km of coastline and beaches, and 3,000 restaurants.
