Hi and thank you for your interest in taking part in our 9th Annual Hill Heritage Cultural Showcase!

In this year of unprecedented changes in how we live, work, and learn, we’ve decided to carry on the tradition of showcasing the diverse cultural backgrounds of our Dillos, in a little different way.

This year, we are asking families to submit short videos of their family showing off their favorite aspects of their families’ heritage. Whether you have traditional clothing or just want to showcase your culture in another way, we’d like to spotlight you!
        All of those videos will be edited over the song ‘Viva la vida‘ by Coldplay into a ‘2021 Hill culture’ video to represent the wonderful tapestry of who we are together and remember this year as one we’ll never forget!

Here are some things to keep in mind:

1. Take a short video of your family or student doing something that shows your family heritage or something you like to do together. There is no need for fancy production and you can simply take a video of your student/ family dancing, waving or smiling.
   * Feel free to play the song when taking the video, the sound will be edited out so don’t worry about any background noise.
2. Students can wear traditional clothing from their family’s heritage.
3. Students can use any additional props (flags, fans, other items used in family rituals)
4. Videos should be kept short to one minute or so.
5. Please take your videos in landscape mode
