Branksome Curriculum

Branksome Hall strives to develop and implement an exemplary curriculum informed by best practices in teaching and learning.

In the Junior School, the IB Primary Years Programme provides the framework for our curriculum. In the Senior & Middle School, the IB Middle Years Programme (for Grades 7–10) and the IB Diploma Programme (for Grades 11–12) are aligned with the Ontario Curriculum. In addition to working toward the IB Diploma, graduates earn the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD).

Academic Programs and Curriculum Nights

Copies of the Junior School Curriculum Book and the Senior & Middle School Academic Program are available on our Portal. Curriculum Nights for parents are held in September. Each Assistant Head oversees the Academic Program for their grades: JK–Grade 6 (Andrea Mills and Erika Lo); Grades 7–8 (Aparna Singhal); Grades 9–10 (Siamak Boroomand) and Grades 11–12 (Assistant Head). Please feel free to contact them with any questions.

The International Baccalaureate (IB)

Branksome Hall is a three-program, continuum IB World School. The IB website provides a wealth of information on the IB Organization and programs: The Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and the Diploma Programme (DP). See www.ibo.org for more information on the IB.
