This is not a fairytale love story it's dark, raw and twisted... you'll definitely need to check your ⚠️ trigger warnings ⚠️ because it has them all but it is so beautifully raw and confronting I couldn't help but be sucked in.

Wren is just barely surviving between each hit of alcohol, drugs, sex what ever numbs the pain for a few painful minutes. Never really living far too traumatized from being assaulted as a child she's lived in the darkness and welcomed it, until one day she takes numbing it too far and winds up in rehab after nearly dying. For most people going to rehab is about getting them help but for Wren it's somewhere to hide her so that her parents reputation isn't hurt by their daughter's 'antics'. Wren doesn't want to be there but the only silver lining is the seriously good looking dude she can see from her window each morning. Ro is just trying to get through life as far away from his toxic brother and their terrible childhood. When he and Wren finally meet they clash in more ways than one but when they realize who the other is years after traumatic events their traumatic lives collide in a twisted way. They are both dark and what forms between them is dirty and twisted but maybe they were meant to meet all these years later to help eachother heal they definitely didn't expect for it to become more than Wren's newest addiction and way to cope, Ro didn't expect to start living again. But pasts have a way of catching up with people and this time around Wren will have to save herself before she can fully give herself to anyone. Monsters don't get happy endings but they can hopefully find peace.

This book was absolutely mind blowing. To say it is dark is somewhat of an understatement. I have not read anything from either of these authors and I know for a certainty that I have been missing out and I know that I will definitely read more from them in the future. What a journey for Ro and Wren who are both broken and damaged in their own way. Both have very traumatic pasts and their demons follow them wherever they venture in life and Wren must deal with her addictions as a result of these traumas. The attraction between Ro and Wren is off the charts and the intensity and passion sets the pages on fire. I could not put this book down as I was so caught up in the story and I kept going till I had it finished. This book deals with a lot including some taboo subjects so be aware of the trigger warnings. I loved reading this book and am looking forward to reading more from these authors. Highly recommend.

Wow! Holy mackerel! My mind is blown! I absolutely couldn’t get enough of this book. From the very beginning I was sucked in and didn’t want to put it down. Wren was put thru the wringer when she was young. She was abused by her “brother” while her other “brother” did nothing. Ro didn’t have the best childhood either, and him and his twin brother were sent away from their adoptive parents home at the age of 16. Wait to you find out why. I was shell shocked and couldn’t believe it. Wren has an unfortunate event happen and she ends up in rehab in Florida where she runs into Ro. Ro works there after he moved to have a better life. His brother still lives elsewhere. Right from the start I knew the sparks would fly, but knew it would be a long road for these two. From the beginning, Ro knew there was something about Wren he knew about. He felt it. Finding out definitely shocks him. Once Wren finds out who Ro is, she isn’t so happy about it at first. It’s one event after another after that. Finding out who the other is and fighting their feelings at every twist and turn is definitely exciting. The steamy scenes and need for control from Ro and Wren is unbelievable. Could these two help each other and be each other’s drug of choice? Could Wren fight her demons from her past? Ro definitely hopes so and I definitely wanted nothing more than these two to get their happy ending.
