Calling all regional stakeholders within S3P Traceability & Big Data


T&BD calls the stakeholders involved within the 24 participant regions and the 13 associated entities to participate in this survey. Developed by the members of the Working Group Road Map, with the support of T&BD coordinators and the S3 Community of Practice, results will enable all regions to get a better understanding of concrete resources, potentials and opportunities available inside the Partnership, getting a final report with key information to steer future activities and optimize interregional exchanges and alignment.

Rural Pact stakeholder needs survey


This European Commission initiative seeks to collect opinions, needs and interests of rural communities to strengthen its policies and improve the quality of life in these areas. The main objective is to promote sustainable development and territorial cohesion in rural areas of Europe.

#EUBeachCleanup2024 - Global campaign for clean, plastic-free oceans


World Cleanup Day 2024 will be on Friday 20 September, but any events organised between 10 June and 31 October count. This initiative encourages organizing not only events on the beach but also in other spaces far away from the sea. In 2023, 45,700 participants took part in 555 events, in 44 countries across all inhabited continents. Join the wave this summer!

Copernicus website user experience survey


This exercise will help the European Commission to better assess the profile of the Copernicus website’s users and visitors, their concrete use of the website features and any room for improvement. The survey consists of a few questions regarding the user experience and behaviour on Copernicus.eu and should take 2-3 minutes.

Mission Soil Manifesto


The Mission Soil Manifesto highlights the urgent need for action to protect soil health. It represents a key step for further local engagement by mobilising regions, municipalities, organisations, businesses, schools, other stakeholders, and citizens. Signatories of the document will recognise the need for action for soil health and will be able to engage in activities for improving soil health.

Impact Funding Framework


EIT Food looks for proposals from consortia based around lead organisations that can work effectively, move quickly, and are supported by high-quality research, communications and impact assessment expertise. The funding is focussed on two separate areas: larger-scale collaborative programmes, and innovative single projects. Priorities on regenerative agriculture; labelling, packaging & transparency; and protein diversification. Periodic calls until September 2025.

Expanding Academia-Enterprise Collaborations - HORIZON-EIE-2024-CONNECT-02-01


The action should foster the creation of innovation ecosystems with educational and research institutions, or strengthen their existing links. Proposals should outline activities for supporting educational and research institutions to take a greater entrepreneurial role. The action should also ensure that educational and research institutions’ assets and vision are articulated clearly and in line with respective regional specialisations strategies, so they can easily be integrated into innovation ecosystems and economic value chains.

I3 Strand 2b - Capacity Building in Less Developed Regions


Strand 2b projects refer to the concrete experimentation of new approaches, solutions and good practices to engage in interregional innovation processes mobilising ecosystems and in particular SMEs. Projects are expected to deliver a pipeline of potential interregional investments as well as business and investment plans.

Ready2Scale Acceleration Program


It offers a 6-month journey supporting 25 digital and deep tech startups with grants up to 60k EUR. Selected startups receive support on business development plans, mentorship on investment readiness, and access to EU funding opportunities.

I3 Strand 1


Strand 1 seeks to increase the competitiveness and resilience of EU value chains based on interregional cooperation and shared smart specialisation areas. The objective of the call is to support interregional innovation investments by offering consortia of innovation actors from the quadruple helix ecosystems the necessary financial and advisory support to bring their innovations to a mature level, ready for commercialisation and scale-up, while bridging and reducing the innovation divide in Europe with a strong cohesion policy focus of integrating all regions and in particular the less developed regions into European value chains. Thematic priorities on Digital Transition, Green Transition and Smart Manufacturing.

I3 Strand 2a


This call focuses on reinforcing the integration of innovation actors from less developed regions in developing EU value chains. The objective of the call is to support interregional innovation investments by offering consortia of innovation actors from the quadruple helix ecosystems the necessary financial and advisory support to bring their innovations to a more mature level, ready for commercialisation and scale-up, while bridging and reducing the innovation divide in Europe with a strong cohesion policy focus of integrating all regions and in particular the less developed regions into European value chains.

Sustainability governance at local level


The INTERREG Policy Learning Platform will be hosting a webinar on Sustainability Governance: Strengthening Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at a local level. The event will include steps towards multilevel governance, organisation culture, ways to bridge the silos, inclusion of SDG targets and indicators in local policy and citizen participation, among others.

Synergy Days 2024


The event born as a legacy of the SmartAgriHubs projects is a conference connecting the digital innovators of the European agri-food sector. Global Bioeconomy Summit 2024


This event is a forum that fosters dialogue between widely different actors to promote the sharing of best practices and to identify opportunities for global innovation and collaboration. It brings together bioeconomy experts from all hemispheres and from diverse backgrounds to represent the interdisciplinary and diverse features of the bioeconomy. Expected more than 500 people to participate in person, and more than 3000 people to follow via live stream.

S3 Conference 2024


The Smart Specialisation Strategies (S3) Conference 2024 is the flagship event for S3 stakeholders from across regions in EU Member States. It is organised by the DG REGIO and the S3 CoP Secretariat, in partnership with Emilia-Romagna Region. S3 practitioners, experts, policymakers, and other key stakeholders will come together to engage in this bottom-up event to network, discuss S3 policy and implementation issues and exchange information and good practices.
