We're only three months into 2020, but it's already been a huge year for TV. Sure, 2019 was major—the end of Game of Thrones, the second season of Big Little Lies, and another season of Stranger Things—but we're off to a great start this year. With all of the reboots and new original series lined up, it’s a good time to be a TV fan.

Here are all the shows you should be getting pumped about in the year ahead, including some updates about ones you were already looking forward to. Clear your calendar, people. It's time to binge.

Normal People

Based on the novel by Sally Rooney, this show follows Marianne and Connell, two Irish high school kids who fall for each other, but can't seem to figure out how to make their relationship work.

High Fidelity

This one's already on Hulu, but if you haven't watched yet, you need to immediately. Zoë Kravitz plays Rob, a record store owner who's trying to figure out why her five biggest heartbreaks actually happened.

Love Is Blind

Alright, picture this: A bunch of single men and women try to test whether love is blind by communicating each other in secluded pods. They get engaged, leave the pods, and try to decide whether they should actually get married or not, all within four weeks. If you haven't binged this entire show by now, you're missing out.

Hollywood

This is just the first of two Ryan Murphy shows on this list. Hollywood follows a group of up-and-coming actors in post-WWII Hollywood as they try to make it. There's plenty of fresh young talent in this show (David Corenswet, Maude Apatow, etc.) but some of the Ryan Murphy staples also star (Darren Criss, Patti LuPone).

Lizzie McGuire Reboot

Unfortunately, this show is a big TBD right now. Disney+ currently has thep project on hold and Hilary Duff implied the company wanted the show to be PG, which she felt did the audience a disservice. In a post on Instagram, she asked Disney to move the show to Hulu, like they did with Love, Simon. Fans are still waiting for details.

Little Fires Everywhere

Based on the novel of the same name by Celeste Ng, Little Fires Everywhere is coming to Hulu in 2020. Starring (and produced by) Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington, the show is about a family who only seems perfect, but their secrets end up being exposed.

Ratched

Starring Sarah Paulson, Ratched tells the origin story of Nurse Ratched from One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest. That means Paulson and Ryan Murphy are teaming up again, just like they did so many times on American Horror Story, so it’s bound to be good. Ratched will premiere on Netflix this year.

Katy Keene

Just in case you can’t get enough Riverdale, this is the spin-off we’ve been waiting for. Premiering on The CW on February 6, 2020, Lucy Hale stars in the title role, playing a clothing designer in New York. Oh, and her roommate happens to be Josie—yep, the same Josie (Ashleigh Murray) from Riverdale.

Nine Perfect Strangers

Already having Big Little Lies withdrawals? This show might just do it for you. Starring Nicole Kidman, the show is about women who meet for the first time while on a 10-day wellness retreat. It’s based on a book written by Liane Moriarty, who also wrote BLL, so it’s bound to be good. The show will stream on Hulu in late 2020.

Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist

Premiering on January 7, 2020 on NBC, Zoey Clarke (Jane Levy) finds out that she can hear the thoughts of people around her…but in musical form. Might this fill the void Crazy Ex-Girlfriend left in our lives? Lauren Graham and Skylar Astin also star.

Bridgerton

Ready for another Shonda Rhimes drama? Bridgerton is a period drama based on a series of romance novels set in early-1800s England. It follows the huge Bridgerton family…in all their drama and all their romance. Yep, this has Shonda written all over it.

Space Force

Here’s another workplace comedy straight from Steve Carell. Set to hit Netflix in 2020, Space Force is about the people who have to create the newest branch of the military. Not only does Carell star, but Ben Schwartz—also known as Jean Ralphio from Parks & Rec—does, too, so it’s bound to be hilarious.
