Evenings with Iya

In today's climate there is so much talk about returning to 'our roots' and a rise in interest from those seeking to learn more about traditional African spirituality and how it is practiced through out the diaspora. Because these practices are sacred, there is little that is known to those who are non-practitioners. Because the traditions are oral, sacred and, in some environments taboo, it can be challenging to find someone to teach you. It is even harder to know who to trust when new to the practices.

In this conversation, Iyanifa Ifasayo Yemoja Sade, will discuss:

1) Myths of the tradition,

2) The power of our Egun (Ancestors) and,

3) Connecting to the power of our Ori

You will also have the opportunity to ask questions.
