Security (School Access, Swipe Cards, Valuables and Parking)

School Access

School buildings are secure at all times. Guests and visitors should buzz into the building they wish to gain access to with their name and purpose of visit. All visitors to the school (including parents) must sign in at one of three reception points (Junior School reception, Senior & Middle School Reception or AWC Reception). To sign in, please use the iPad at reception to complete a short form. All visitors must wear a visitor’s badge while in Branksome buildings for easy identification.

Swipe Cards

Branksome buildings require swipe card access. Students (Grade 4 and above) and employees will be given a swipe card while they are at Branksome.

Should a student or employee require a replacement swipe card at any time, it must be immediately reported through the Request a New Access Card link in the Portal.

The photo ID security card is part of the uniform and students are expected to carry it at all times in order to gain access to the school and purchase items. Students who purchase items repeatedly by giving a student number may be required to purchase a new card or explain to the appropriate Assistant Head, Student

Experience why they do not have a card.

Valuables

Valuables not required for learning should be kept at home. It is recommended that any valuables brought on campus be kept in a secure place such as a locker. Branksome Hall is not responsible for any items lost or stolen at school.

Parking

Students are not permitted to park in any of the school parking lots. The school has limited parking. A list of nearby public parking lots can be accessed here.
