STELLA

I’ve become something unrecognizable.

My body and mind are split with demands that terrify me. I know the only person who can help satisfy the hunger is the one person I want to kill.

But I have my own theories, my own intuition that implies someone else can feed me like no other. I’m drawn to him like a spark to his flame. He ignites my spirit but amplifies the excruciating appetite.

Because he won’t give in, and now I’m left in haunting nightmares of temptation.

Hungry. Reckless. Wild.

I’m losing myself to the darkness, but I think I like the destruction.

NATHANIAL

She’s a thorn in my side, that one.

The ever-present pain that agonizes my thoughts and fuels my anger.

She awakens my corruption, stirring my need to dominate and ruin her.

She doesn’t know what I am. She doesn’t understand what I’d be able to do.

But she can never know.

I made a deal with the Devil a long time ago and there’s no going back.

I LOVED Fated.

But Descent?
Descent was a whole other beast.
It was darker, dirtier, kinkier and way more intense than Fated. It picks up not far from where Book 1 left off, so I definitely recommend starting with Fated or you’ll feel a little lost in this world. Descent expands on the world that Liza opened readers to in Fated and It surprised the hell out of me.

Liza’s writing is excellent and sucked me in from the first page. I mean, THAT FIRST CHAPTER?! Tell me that first chapter didn’t have you on the edge of your seat and begging for more!

Stella and Nathaniel take you on one wild, emotional and tension-filled ride...I wasn’t ready and some parts left my drool and panties on the floor (haha jk...no but seriously...). Nathaniel’s dominant side surprised the hell out of me. Him and Stella fit perfectly together, completing each other every way possible. Their story is sexy and chaotic but completely worth the turmoil.

I loved it and now I’m ready for Leon & Amelia’s story.
*I had the immense pleasure of ALPHA/BETA reading this beauty*

honestly the main couple of this book, stella and nathaniel, lost my interest as it went on but there are so many interesting side characters to make up for it.
the whole fated mates concept is cool but i didn’t find their personalities compelling enough, however they’re still much more interesting than elijah and luna from the first book.

i went from being annoyed by amelia to feeling sorry for her and all the terrible things she went through. i want to know more about her history with leon. leon, another character who i thought would annoy me but turned out to be quite interesting.

but the real reason this book captured my interest is because of lucifer “luc” the ruler of the hell and esme, the witch that he has a really odd captor-lover type relationship with. it’s obvious he’s cold and manipulative and you can tell esme isn’t really happy being with him but they’re also extremely attached to one another. their dynamic was fascinating and i hope the author writes them a book because i would 1000% read it.

I enjoyed the first book, but this didn’t cut it. The plot outline is quite similar to the previous book in that the H rejects/pushes the h away for ¾ of the book, but where Fated picked up with action the last 25%, Descent picked up with sex. And we didn’t have the OW drama during the rejection (which I know the safety gals hated) but I love feels… and Sam being shoved in Luna’s face while Elijah rejected her generated hurt, angst, and heartbreak. Stella and Nathaniel's felt more like a hate to love scenario. She also wasn’t as vulnerable/emotional as her sister, so I was left with zero feels… which got a smidge boring.

It is darker and kinkier, but darker isn’t really better if it’s just added for window dressing. The mc’s were supposed to be edgier/more dangerous, but it felt out of place. The sex was darker, and I think the author was trying to back up her more dangerous/more demon characters, but it (IMO) backfired because the sex was kinky but didn’t pack an emotional punch, so I wasn’t feeling the chemistry. Then it felt like it hijacked the plot when I needed something to happen.

There were also changes of narrative/plot hole/inconsistency issues. Nathan’s personality was so contrasting from the first book, he felt like a different character. And Amelia…

Bottom Line- I didn’t enjoy this one, and I’m not feeling great about where we’re headed (redeeming Amelia), so I’m calling it. I was so bored by the time we got to the 75% mark, and then it barely picked up except one scene. The “twist” was shocking but felt lazy. It’s a because I told you so plot reversal, and doesn’t solidly fit without holes. I’d rather she just killed Amelia off and focused on Esme and Lucifer.

”We’re toxic and uncontrolled, an evolving chaos that will only leave destruction before it could ever conceive beauty.”

Liza kills it yet again. I’m obsessed with this world and her characters.

Stella and Nathanial were scorching hot. The sexual tension was off the charts, their draw to each other was explosive— I felt their need for each other in Fated so I just knew the angst and tension would build even more in their book and I wasn’t disappointed!

I loved Nathanials possessive and dominant nature and it was exactly what Stella needed to be... content. They are perfect for each other and the journey to their happy ever after was messy, but that’s them. I couldn’t have seen it going any other way.

The twist and turns, new revelations, and new characters being introduced kept me turning pages and as always, I CANNOT WAIT FOR MORE!

PS: I also have a thing for Lucifer 😏

”Because even while she's angry, she's drawn to me. Even when she hates me, she belongs to me. I want own her body, ravage her spirit, and then fuck her mind in the only ways that matter. All the ways that make her fucking mine.”

“Of course, I fucking feel it. It thrives and burns in everything you do. In the tiny gasps that fall from your lips when you phase, in the way your hands drag across my skin when we touch, in the moans and cries you surrender when I take them from you. Hell, even in your sleep, in the way that you fucking breathe. All of it calls to me, begs to be completed and dominated in all the ways I could give you.”

So many quotes hit in this book, but those are few of my favorites!

HOLYYYYYYY HOTNESS

I need to go chug a glass of ice cold water and sit in front of a fan for an hour now

This book starts off with such an amazing push and pull between Stella and Nathanial. Stella is struggling for reasons I won’t state without spoiling the end of the first book and Nathanial is constantly pushing her away. I was so angry at Nate throughout the first 50% of this book for how he was treating Stella but I also understood why he was doing it.

Stella is so strong, fierce and caring. She’s probably one of my favourite heroines I’ve ever read about.

Nate is dominant and when Stella and him finally come to together?? Whoooooo boy it’s intense.

Some people might find this book overly sexual, but it makes complete sense to their story and who they are as supernatural beings. I thought the sex scenes and the sexual tension was incredibly well done. Let me tell you, Liza can WRITE!!!

I am so excited for the next book in this series and for the lover story between those two individuals I will not name without spoiling. It’s gonna be GOOOOOD.

The only reason I deducted a half star was because I found the last 80% quite drawn out, however I understand why the story needed to be that way. I think it’s just a personal thing for me as a reader!

If you loved fated, you’re gonna love Stella and Nathaials story.

Also I’d just like to say (and I’ve mentioned this to Liza James before on Instagram) how much I appreciate that she puts content warnings at the beginning of her books.

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review

Stella and Nathaniel are sizzling hot and their chemistry is insane. No matter how much Nathaniel tries to avoid Stella, she is irresistible to him. So much push and pull, so much angst, so aggressive. It is a hell of a ride.

This book is about them, Stella and Nathaniel. In the previous book, the couple was Elijah (Nathaniel's brother) and Luna (Stella's sister). In this book we still see them going strong. It also gives us another look at Amelia and I think the next book will be about her and Leon. Esme is another character that makes an appearance and I gotta say, I hope she gets a book too. I'm dying to know what's going on with her and Luc.

Great second book! This definitely is a book I recommend for those who like stories about fated mates, angels, and demons. I read this as an ARC so it's not out yet, but will be on July 1st.

This book is ridiculous on so many levels. I wanted to like it, but the “I have to be a raging asshole to you, push you away, and hurt you to protect you” is complete bullshit. I’m sorry...but that is no hero. It’s cop out to just add unnecessary drama. Why have a simple conversation with the person you’re fated with about what you being together could mean when you can verbally abuse them and push them away while being angry at them for reaching out to someone else. I honestly could not stand Nathaniel the majority of this god forsaken book. Elijah was the same idiot in his book, but at least he had somewhat understandable reasons to be gunshy about a relationship. All Nathaniel has were “reasons” and that were just stupid. Stella should have told Nathaniel to take a hike and taken up with Leon. The story has so much potential, but the cruelty was just unnecessary...especially when that person is supposed to love them the most or whatever. Find other ways to create drama other than the man verbally and emotionally abusing the woman he supposedly loves.

“Not Jesus. Not even God. But I am your fucking daddy and I’ll put you in your goddamn place just the same.”

Honestly, I’m a mess after reading this book. It was genuinely everything and more that I could’ve wanted from Stella and Daddy Nates story and I am obsessed with their messy ass relationship. There were so many ups and downs and such raw and powerful emotion that I feel shook now that I’m finished reading. I think I’m going to need a week long nap after reading this because it was just everything. Major major book slump now.

Stella and Nathaniel’s relationship summarised in one word is messy. I’ll warn you now, you’ll probably hate how stubborn Nathaniel is for a while and you’ll wanna give him a smack around the head but I PROMISE you, it is so damn worth it. When these two come together they become the definition of explosion. They are so intense together and Liza executed the balance between love and hate so perfectly that this definitely has made one of my top 3 reads for this month.

Some books you can summarise the plot without giving too much away but this is physically impossible here. This is one of those books that you need to head into blind and just let consume your soul and pray you make it out intact on the other side (side note, I didn’t....).

I love that we got introduced to more characters in this book and the plot twist that happened at the end still has my head in a tizz. I didn’t know what Liza could do to make me love this book more than the first one, but she fucking nailed it.

“It’s time I let him go and stop hoping that he’ll somehow become my Savior. He’s an Angel, sure. But he’s Fallen, and I’m the Demon he wants nothing to do with.”

*I swear I highlighted the shit out of this book..... like 38 odd highlights of powerful passages, memorable moments and funny remarks from the characters. Always a testament of how much I’ve loved a book by the amount of highlights I make*

Going from Fated straight into Descent had me falling more and more in love with Liza James. I absolutely love the world she built for these characters and the thematic elements that drove the story for this couple.

Stella and Nathanial... I was dying to find out more about their connection to one another since their first meeting in Fated. They are addicting, seductive, and combustible. Though Nathanial constantly denies they connection and pull to one another, Stella never gives up on what she wants... Him.

Nathanial hides behind a carefree facade in hopes to hold Stella at bay. He knows he could fulfill her. He knows that he is her other half. But once you make a deal with the devil, you have to hold up your end of the bargain. Not willing to sacrifice Stella, he hides his true nature from her. This drove me absolutely crazy with a desire to see the explosive connection occur that I knew would happen if these two were ever to crash together.

What I love most about Liza James' writing is her creation of such strong and complicated characters. I love angst and I love passion and I love dark, edgy romances. Daddy Nathanial and Stella's story was chalk full with it!

Best Paranormal romance Book, Ever. Liza James has done it again; she wrote a phenomenally fantastic book. I have not one negative thing to say. Sizzling Hot.

Nathanial is my favorite of the brothers and my favorite character. He is Dominate, handsome, and struggles with his feeling towards Stella.

Book two starts off where book one ended. Stella is struggling; for a reason, I can not reveal as it would be a spoiler. She asks Nathanial for help, and he refuses to. He tries to push her away and keep a distance. Which he finds is challenging and has a hard time resisting her. My heart broke a few times for Stella, but that girl is a fighter.

Amelia seems to have a lot going on; there is a new character named Leon. Who comes in to help train Stella. Let’s say Nathanial possessive side shines.
Lucifer makes an appearance. I would love to see a book on him. So many secrets are revealed and holy moly Wow.

Let's say the sexual chemistry between Stella and Nathanial are beyond my expectations. There is some sexual content; some people may have a hard limit. But keep an open mind. It's a fantastic book.

I can't wait for the next book. Thanks, Liza James for a great ride,

THE REVIEW FOR THE BOOK DESCENT BY LIZA JAMES

GENRE: PARANORMAL ROMANCE...FANTASY.

RATING: 5 CRAZY STARS.

wow......incredible....This book..blew my mind away..as i said in the review of Fated I am not a fan of paranormal romance but this book changed my perspective.

Stella and Nathanial are some of the characters that will remain ingrain in my mind for a long time.
This book gave the new meaning to angst and passion. Honestly, i hated Nate in the first 50% of the book but then i came to know the reason behind him being an ultimate asshole to Stella.
Danner was a badass villain who stooped really low to get what he wants. the book was full with ups and downs and had so many twists that had me on the edge of the seat the whole time.
Will Nate lose his cold and mean behaviour and help Stella overcome new changes in their life? or they will just drown in their mistakes?

"Our bond overflows with love and passion as we come together in a powerful collision— finding a home within each other. Finally."

Stella and Nate are toxic to each other and everyone around them. They so this push and pull that gets rougher and more volatile the longer it goes.
I felt their need for eachother in Fated so i just knew the angst and tension would build even more in this book and i was.not. disappointed!!!
JUST CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEXT BOOK IN THE SERIES..
UNTIL NEXT TIME....HAPPY READING!!!

What’s your pleasure? This angel and demons trope with hot and steamy scenes…Liza James hit this one. This book will obsess you and possess you, consume you, and leave you breathless.

She is a sex addict, pure daredevil, and a smartass …He can give her what she needs but he's keeping her at a distance thinking he is still helping and protecting her even though it is getting harder to resist her at any moment. He is dominant and possessive and is fighting inevitable.
Together they will crash into something magical.

Looooooved this book!

"Our bond overflows with love and passion as we come together in a powerful collision— finding a home within each other. Finally."

I absolutely adore stubborn ass Nathanial and beautiful sweet Stella.

Liza James has made me realize I don't dislike slow-burn as much as I thought I did. If you despise slow-burn, then this might not be the series for you. BUT, if you like being extremely frustrated with MCs who are so stubborn you want to punch them and tell them to get it together! Like WE KNOW that you're meant to be and are perfect for each other, so get it together and love her already!!! --then this is the series for you and I recommend you immediately read book one, Fated.

The writing and the story constantly had me coming up with theories about the characters and future books. I was completely invested in the world and I immediately want to go back and just live there.

"We’ll destroy and decimate anyone who tries to stop us."

Both Nathanial and Stella are both broken and beautiful together. In this book we get to see the other side of Nathaniel, the side he hides behind being the ruler of their world. Nathaniel and Stella immediately had a "dislike" for each other in the first book and we get to find out why in this book.

The emotions I had while reading this book took me on a rollercoaster and I still haven't gotten over it. My words aren't properly describing how I feel about this book but JUST KNOW, that I am completely irreversibly attached to this world and its characters!

'A goddamn masterpiece. That's what she is.'

If you thought Fated blew your mind, Descent will take you one step further. I didn't think Fated could be topped! Liza gave passion and angst a whole new meaning in this read.

We know Nathanial from Fated as Elijahs brother and Stella being Lunas sister. however Nate is a lot more brooding and stubborn this time round and the tension between him and Stella is almost unbearable. It's a constant push and pull, but I am here for every second of it!

I found myself constantly raving about Nates newfound cruelty although it becomes very clear why he is this way, and we see a softer, more intimate side of him later within the book.

Stella is a handful, very fiery and fierce (until Daddy Nate gets a hold of her) and knows exactly what she wants, if only she could get what she wants! From a readers perspective, the feelings and connections were very intense.

Liza is also an amazingly unpredictable writer so there is absolutely no guessing what happens next. I felt more of a connection between these two then I did with Elijah and Luna, their steam is out of this world. Fallen Angels with Incubus and Succubus input, is not an easy genre to write but this was a success. A captivating read, for sure.

The backstory, the romance and the plot line made this book a favourite.

'With everything that I am and in everything that we're becoming. You're mine.'

Now I felt like this book had a lot to live up to as I really loved Fated but man this book did not disappoint! I enjoyed this even more than the first book which I honestly did not think would be possible.

Stella and Nathaniel just have this chemistry that is evident in every word and every look they share and I was totally here for it! Their relationship is messy at times and complicated and I can't even go into any aspect of the plot here without spoiling it. Just know that it is worth it, no matter how stubborn Nate is!

This book has it all: lust, love, Fallen Angels, Demons and more. What's not to love?!
It takes you on a journey of storytelling and the writing made me fall in love with every single character and situation; especially as we are introduced to so many new wonderful characters.

One of the main things I loved about Descent is that as a reader you could feel the character growth and I am super excited for this series to continue. The ending plot twist got me too and I am never surprised by plot points!

Read this book. You won't regret it!

SO IN LOVE WITH THIS SERIES.
SO IN LUST WITH THIS AUTHOR.
LIKE, WOW.
I thought nobody could outrank my love for Luna and Elijah. They were the king/queen in my eyes. But Nathaniel and Stella walked in the door and said "hold my beer". They blew me away so much more than I thought they would. Nathaniel was EVERYTHING I LOVED IN A HERO. Stella was so fierce and sexual. Gahhh. I mean, the sexual tension that was hinted in book one was only a miniscule part of this book. The chemistry and angst was dripping off the pages like freaking honey. I was obsessed. My heart was pounding out of my chest. This author blows me away. And dont get me started on my boy Leon. I LOVE that Nathaniel is so possessive. That is my favorite part in a man and he showed his alpha/possessive side OH SO WELL. But dang, I wanted Stella to ride Leon a time or two. Im sorry! Haha. But in the end, I am glad she didnt. Because I had a feeling about Amelia and I was right. And thats another thing!!!!! I feel like book 3 is going to be EVEN MORE action packed, EVEN MORE angsty, EVEN MORE enemies-to-lovers, EVEN MORE EVERYTHING. But Nathaniel and Stella were amazing, I loved the way it all played out, I loved the king\queen down under most of all.

This is one twisted, emotional, and totally OUT OF THIS WORLD book! My heart was ready to come out my chest many times. I couldn’t finish this book fast enough! Holy COW!!

WOW!! What a rollercoaster. I am floored by this author and their story. I’m still trying to wrap my brain around what I just read. These characters become so REAL - absolutely makes you obsessed with them!!

The author has an amazing way with words. This paranormal book isn’t usually my go to read - but it encompasses such an amazing storyline, with lots of twists and turns that will leave you with your mouth hanging wide open!! GAAHHH!! This book was FREAKING AMAZING!!

So Stella and Nathaniel. This CHEMISTRY IS OFF THE CHARTS!! They have denied themselves for so long, that the sexual tension is thick and NEEDS to be broken!! Together, they must navigate a life apart from one another based on past decisions that came back to mess it up. The things they learn, the craziness that endure, and FINALLY seeing what is front of you is worth it will make you one happy reader!!

An unbelievable, crazy and emotional read by Liza James that you DON’T WANT TO MISS!! An absolutely romance read by MOST, but especially paranormal fans!! Go buy it NOW!!

5 Smoking Hot Stars 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

"I want own her body, ravage her spirit, and then fuck her mind in the only ways that matter. All the ways that make her fucking mine."

Jesus... I need a shower after that, it was SO HOT 🥵

Stella, girl, I love you but I need Daddy Nate for myself 🔥

Stella and Nate were just phenomenal 😍 they're chemistry was OFF THE CHART, the push and pull to their connection had me literally glued to my kindle flipping pages like I only had one day to live and I needed to get to the end of their story 🖤

You fall in love with all these characters, even side characters, I mean Leon and Lucifer I definitely would not turn my nose up to them, hell I'd even have Danner's evil ass too 🥵

Liza has done it AGAIN! I said in my review for Fated that I am not a paranormal reader, it just doesn't interest me, but now... I think I may have been converted 🖤

4.75 / 5 ⭐

Liza did it again! I'm so happy I discovered her work this year and have been able to follow this amazing journey. The Fated world isn't something I thought I needed but now that I have been introduced to it, I need more!!

These two... Nathanial and Stella, I lived for them! I was so excited to see how things would envelop between them and I was definitely not disappointed! The sexual tension was waaaay up there, even in the previous book. I loved to witness it, how they couldn't stop being drawn to one another, despite how stubborn they are!

Stella is one of my favorite heroines! She's strong, brave, fierce, and cares a lot about others and Nathanial is possessive and dominant, exactly what she craves to satisfy her needs. I kept questioning Nate's behavior but once it became clear and a softer side of him was unveiled, his character grew on me!

They were made for each other in every aspect and their journey might have been messy but that's what they are, a beautiful chaotic mess!

The new characters, the revelations, the twists... everything made this book hella addictive and you need to start this series ASAP, if you haven't already!

I also can't wait for the next book! I'm so ready for what's to come, I just know it will be soooo worth it!

Fated might have snatched my wig, but Descent wasted no time, skipped the line and came straight for my SOUL. I don’t even want it back, it’s fine, I’m sure James will take care of it.

If you do anything this year, read this series. Yes you’ve read Angel/Demon PNR before. I promise, you’ve never encountered anything quite like Daddy Nathaniel & Stella.

Am I gonna break down the plot for you? No. Because you’re gonna read it anyways, so let’s just skip right to it. This book was HAWT. These characters had chemistry so intense it scorched my Kindle. I clutched my pearls at a few scenes, & questioned my morals for others. I have no regrets. And honestly, I’m ready for even more from this author.

ALL THE STARS FOR THIS ONE!
June 25, 2020
My absolute favorite book from Liza James. I couldn’t put it down!! She drew me in with her amazing writing and details. I felt like I was a part of the story, not just an outsider looking in. She drew me in with every page making it impossible to stop reading. I had to know what happened next.

Stella and Nathaniel are toxic, raw and unapologetic. Their chemistry was unlike anything I've read in any other story. I could literally feel their emotions as if they were my own. They are the perfect mix of darkness and light, a raging inferno I didn't want to escape from. I never wanted this one to end.

If You thought Fated was amazing, ya’ll ain’t seen nothing yet! This book is frustratingly fantastical! Really held back tossing my kindle across the room multiple times. I had to take breaks after a few pages, it was torture for the first half! A slow burn festering into a blazing fucking inferno till the end!

Descent begins the torturous fated bond between Stella and Nathaniel, with the latter refusing to accept, acknowledge or respond to the obvious conclusion that they will be better together. I wanted to review this book honestly because it deserves just that. Instead of a traditional review I will just give you all the notes I accumulated throughout centred around our dastardly hero Nathaniel, Daddy Nate, gatdamn frustrating hunk of a man!

Every time I turn a page I yell why? Why! wHY WhY? what are you waiting for? Seriously? holy the angst this man is throwing! Stop pretending! Don’t be a martyr just give in! Be selfish! Stella is in pain, lost and you refuse! Staaahhppp! This can’t be the theme for the whole book, I’m not gonna be able to survive this... Whoa! Hold up, now we’re getting somewhere... This isn’t real! Oh god! No baby girl Lucifer! 😩😢😭 Wow! I was not ready for that! Whoa! All I can say is, it was sinfully spectacular. Bra-fucking-vo Liza 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

There's one thing to say: I love Nathanial, Stella, the plot, the paranormal pieces, romantic dynamics, sex scenes, the way it's written, the cover and the author.

I think it speaks volumes.

For the first half of this book I was gonna rate it 4 stars. Here's why: everytime Nathaniel denied Stella, everytime he lied and spoke cruel words he didn't mean, everytime he made her cry, I hated him. Loathed him. Despised him. I wanted to strangle him. I wanted Stella to do something, anything, to rip his heart from his freaking chest. I understood his reasoning, as well as his own personal struggle with their situation, but my mentality was really "you know what dude? f*ck your feelings." I cant tell you how many times I wanted to DNF or how close I actually came to it but.. now here's why I absolutely had to give this book 5 stars.. I'm glad I kept going because hot damn when Nathanial finally gave in? 🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵!!!!! I wasn't aware there would be blood play (my fault for wanting to jump straight into the story without reading the warning) which isn't really my thing. It's something I'd take half a star for usually. BUT, I actually really enjoyed it in this because of the whole blood bond concept in this world. I enjoyed both when they were actually bonded and for some reason I enjoyed it even more when they weren't yet bonded. It was highly erotic. I really wanted Stella to willingly decide she wanted to rule that portion of hell along with Nathanial. I wanted them to say f*ck it and initiate the blood bond of their own free will. Though I have to say that surprisingly, I'm not exactly mad about how it happens, especially because they both really wanted it. AND THAT PLOT TWIST!!! Amelia is Stella and Luna's half sister? And.. technically, their cousin.. WHAT!? I LOVE IT. Also, I want Stella's ring.. a rose gold band with a speckled diamond? That sounds gorgeous!!! My feelings about Amelia fluctuated a lot in this book but seeing her slowly shatter has me growing a soft spot for her and I'm looking forward to her book, looking forward to Liza bringing her and Leon together (I cant even begin to imagine how insanely that's gonna go, fingers crossed for lots of hate sex), and looking forward to Liza building upon these girls as sisters.

I really enjoyed this particular quote in reference to Amelia, "She’s broken, shattered into a million pieces that she’s attempted placing back together. Only she’s pointed each glass shard outwards, so that it stabs and injures everyone who comes near her."

Lastly, I am so ready for Danner to just freaking die already, he's like a damn cockroach.

Ok

I was excited after the first book I felt there was a lot of potential and I couldn’t wait to read about Nathaniel and the sister. However I found myself bored with the back-and-forth and anxious to read about the side characters. They seem to have a lot more excitement going on I will continue to read this series based on those side characters Lucifer, Esmey, Leon ...
Great writing
