The “EU4Business: SME Competitiveness and Internationalisation” programme will support Ukrainian SMEs during the state of war

The Programme “EU4Business: SME Competitiveness and Internationalisation” continues its activity in Ukraine in order to support small and medium-sized entrepreneurs during the state of war in the country. Previously, in peacetime, the Program had already supported more than 10,000 entrepreneurs and their employees.

The territory for cooperation will be temporarily focused on the western regions of Ukraine.

Among the initiatives, the Programme plans to provide support to small and medium-sized enterprises through business associations in the form of clusters, chambers of commerce and industry and NGOs in local communities. Among the main tasks of the emergency support by the Programme are:

  • save jobs and support Ukraine's economy;
  • integrate internally displaced persons and women into local value chains and business networks;
  • help SMEs to diversify their business models and consider digital delivery of products and services;
  • involve the Ukrainian diaspora in helping Ukrainian business.

The Programme plans to work with experts / consultants on business development in  fragile conditions in order to solve the main current major problems of our Ukrainian partners.

To the attention of entrepreneurs and communities! If you have an idea or plan for how The Programme could support your business in this difficult time, please email us: eu4business.ukraine@giz.de
