Our Naked Soul is Alessandra Vitale debut, which is such a wonderful book. It’s equally beautiful as it is heartbroken. My advice is to have tissues nearby; you will need them, and go in blind.

Please beware there are some triggers. Very intense,Our Naked Souls is not for the faint of heart. You will feel every emotion.

The book starts in the past of Arabel, after a horrific event in her life. Three years later, in the present, she meets Enzo, and both are instantly attracted to each other. Neither has been in a relationship in years.

Both are broken souls that have experienced pain, suffering, grief, PTSD, fighting their demons, and trying to move forward with their lives. It’s also a story of comfort, healing, recovery, love, and happiness. I never read about a couple who deserved so much happiness.

You can’t help but fall in love with both the main characters and total awe of them, especially Arabel. To all that she went through, and to move past that. Amazing. She showed such great strength. Of course, there are sex scenes, and the chemistry is Hot as hell.

I highly recommend Our Naked Souls;it's very well written. This book will stick with me for a long time to come—such a beautiful story. I look forward to her future books.

It's Okay Not To Be Okay
*arc generously provided by the promo team in exchange for an honest review*

This is my first Alessandra Vitale story, and it is also her debut. The prologue gutted me. I felt it all, and I truly wanted our leading lady to survive. To be OKAY again. I didn't know her for long, but I believed that she deserved the best in life. This is a survivor's story, on both ends. The leading man appears as one thing, but, deep inside, he's also hurt. Both characters heal in this story, needing each other. In some ways, the themes of survival and healing, and an American vibe (all the skiing talk in the mountains, west coast...) had me feeling Credence vibes, and I say that as a great compliment. (There's nothing plotwise that's similar to Credence - no threesomes, mfm or whatever!). All in all, Arabel was a badass, and Lorenzo was a hottie. They had great chemistry, taking their time to explore what's going on between them. Well done, Alessandra! What a debut. You had me in my feelings. I recommend this to people who love a painfully real story, who believe in survivors, and who know that life moves on.

This book will always hold a special place in my heart. Not only because of the story, but also because of the author and what this book means to her.

ONS is a story about finding yourself and accepting who you are, flaws and all. Sometimes it takes finding your other half, facing your fears and demons together, and healing one another in order to come to peace with the scars of your past.

Alessandra delivered an emotional read about two souls beat up, scarred, and yearning for a match to heal the other. Lorenzo and Arabel had me turning pages so quickly, longing to know more about their demons and determined to know what their ending would be.

I look forward to future stories she tells and I will be here eagerly awaiting every single word!

Read this back in 2020. I'm biased but this book delivers. Intelligent writing mixed with an emotional and steamy plot. Read if you're a nerd for Tolkien, like the heroine in this book.

⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 “My newfound courage exploded in my mouth as I finally surrendered to the moment—a moment of bliss when everything else was forgotten. There was no past, no future. There was only the present. No one else mattered, only him and me.”

What You’ll Find:
✔️Contemporary Romance
✔️Tortured MC’s
✔️Angst & Emotion
✔️Twists & Turns
✔️Dual POV

Two tortured souls stuck from moving forward from the traumatic events of their pasts. That is until they meet each other. Suddenly they both want more, but can they heal from the past and be what each other needs?

Their story begins with some sexy instalust, but nothing happens right away. They seemed to both have these instincts about each other. Followed by a need to selflessly heal one another. And though I felt their relationship moved quickly, there were times I felt their story was a bit slow for me. Mostly in the middle. But it started and ended in a way that really had me locked in. Those twists near the end really grabbed me! Wow.

This debut is a heavy one. It deals with topics that aren’t easy and won’t be for everyone. I can’t say I always loved the MC’s or felt a deep connection. But I certainly felt the emotion and pain. One particular scene, ripped my heart out. This is a story of grief and pain. Of fighting battles. Mostly within yourself. And learning to love and trust again. If your looking for an emotional read that covers some difficult topics but also gives you steam and feels, check it out. Overall a great debut. I look forward to reading more from this author!

A debut novel. Really? Wow after reading this I’m hoping the author plans to write loads more as this was a brilliant read. As soon as I started reading I was hooked. This storyline is addictive.

Arabel and Lorenzo brought so many emotions out of me. Their story is intense and full of feelings.

This is a beautiful well written story that will stay with me for a long time. There are triggers so may not be for everyone.

Can’t wait to read more from this author.

Our Naked Souls is the first standalone novel in the Seasons of the Soul series and it is also Alessandra Vitales debut book! Thank you so much Alessandra for allowing me the chance to read the ARC of this story in exchange for my honest review. (Content warning provided at the end of the review)

This story is so beautiful to read. It’s painful and it’s heartbreaking and it’ll make you smile and it’ll give you hope! But most of all, it values nurture. As someone who constantly puts others happiness and healing before my own, I felt incredibly connected to both our MCs - Arabel and Enzo - in their desire and need to comfort each other and to make the other feel cherished and safe with their progress towards healing and acceptance.

I found myself cheering for these two from the minute they first connect at Arabels silk performance (which btw, has me wanting to go sign up to a class myself!) and for all the readers out there who enjoy HEA, you will find yourself smiling with this one. The journey to get there is full of demons and grief, but the relationship that is built between not only our MCs but all the side characters, will warm your heart with their continued love and support.

If you can, I suggest going in blind to this story! However, the author has detailed the below as a content warning: 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘣𝘰𝘰𝘬 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘴 𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘵, 𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘭𝘶𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘶𝘢𝘨𝘦, 𝘷𝘪𝘰𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦, 𝘴𝘶𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘥𝘦, 𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘱𝘩𝘪𝘤 𝘴𝘦𝘹𝘶𝘢𝘭 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢𝘣𝘶𝘴𝘦. In support, please be sure you are prepared for this before diving in as this story details a horrific rape scene.

I am very much looking forward to all of Alessandras future books!

Our Naked Souls is very near and dear to my heart because I'm lucky enough to call @alessandravitale my friend, not only in the bookstagram world but in the real world as well.
Alessandra was sweet enough to send me an early arc of ONS to read and y'all, this book is everything.
I will be honest with you, this book is not for the faint of heart! There are some triggering things in this book, but Alessandra does let you know ahead of time. And I have to say, she did an incredible job at touching on the "taboo" topics/triggering topics in such a respectable and tasteful way.
Alessandra completely amazed me at her ability to make myself, someone who has thankfully, never gone through the same situations as these people, feel the emotions that these characters portray/feel. As I was reading the story, I could feel myself empathizing with these characters, crying with them, and hurting right along side them.
Our Naked Souls is not your every day love story. It is the story of two very broken people, fighting tooth and nail to put themselves back together with one another. Alessandra showcased so much growth/character development with Enzo and Arie from beginning to end.
Another thing that I absolutely loved with ONS is the side/bonus characters. They all had a purpose and they served those purposes flawlessly. (Mignon is my favorite, read it and you'll see.)
I'm warning you, I might have found myself crying while reading this, not to mention I finished the book in tears as well.
Alessandra, I'm so dang proud of you! This book is absolutely incredible! Thank you so much for allowing me to read your book baby! I loved everything about it, as you know considering I blew you up while reading it! I love you and can't wait to celebrate release day with you and your family!

This was my first listen by Alessandra Vitale. And both Ramona Master & Michael Ferraiulo are new to me narrators. Both Arabel & Lorenzo have traumatic pasts that haunt them. They both run from each other & their pasts. Fate brought them together and they worked together to heal. Awesome read! Michael & Ramona did a great job narrating!

Our Naked Souls is a totally fitting title for this one. This was an amazing debut and I definitely can't wait to see what else this author writes in the future. This is a story about two broken souls who are still very much dealing with their pasts. With an instant connection that they can't deny, Arabel and Lorenzo begin to heal one another. Our Naked Souls is heavy from the start and tackles some very sensitive subject matter.

This is a story that starts off with two broken souls, navigating their life through their grief, their anger, their fears but morphs into a story of healing, overcoming, THRIVING.

Two people who are more connected than they know find each other and fall in love. The things they both go through are very real and raw. So, it wasn’t always easy. There were set backs. Both fighting against themselves, but ultimately love wins out and it’s beautiful— their love is tulips and sunflowers.

This is Alessandra’s debut and is very well written and definitely worth a read!

Deeply touching.. A gorgeous story of love and triumph over your past monsters ♥️♥️

First off I have to say HOW UTTERLY GORGEOUS THAT COVER IS AND AFTER READING THE BOOK, I'M ALL THE MORE IN LOVE WITH THE TALENT IN COVER PICTURE BEAUTIFULLY EXPRESSING THE ESSENCE OF THIS STORY ❤️

Warning: This book has some really disturbing scenes of trauma and sexual assault. It's a beautiful story of conquering your demons and living your life happy, but If any of the themes are disturbing or make you uncomfortable, then please choose if you'd want to proceed or not.

Arabel, such a strong and pretty girl. I loved how we are introduced to her doing something that requires so much of physical strength of muscles. Using only two pieces of fabrics to dance almost in the air, is quiet the feat.

When you realise that arabel has gone through a horrific past trauma it makes you admire her strength and how far she has come.

After so long though, she feels a spark when her eyes connect with a stranger in the audience and she feels pulled to him.
But it is not easy for her to just give in the attraction to a complete stranger.

Lorenzo has battled his past demons and come out successfully but he's not felt for a woman in along time what he is feeling for this mystery woman.

He goes to see her and they even meet but before things can go any further his mystery woman just flees.

Sometimes when fate has decided you have to meet people they'll somehow find their way back to you no matter what. Arabel finds Lorenzo when she'd never expected to see him at all.

What starts as a simple attraction turns into a bond so deep. When two people have suffered so much and are somehow connected by kinda the same trauma, it forges a bond unlike anything else.

I felt so many things and was deeply touched and ached for what this both had suffered in their own way. How even though life had tried to break them but they had come out triumphant.

But what was left to be healed, they were doing that for each other, together.
Absolutely beautiful, heart touching story and writing is so spectacular in making you feel the impact in a deep way.

Also I absolutely loved how supportive arabel's family was, showering her with love and care and Lorenzo has such amazing people who bring him out of darkness.

But my favorite is the adorable little doll, Caterina. That little girl was so sweet and I loved how much Lorenzo adored her and loved her. Then arabel who loved her as her own.

Ahhh... I'm feeling so much right now. Loved loved this one. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

"There was no doubt Lorenzo was a tortured soul. I wanted to save him. I wanted him to save me."

What an emotional love story of two broken souls coming together to heal each other. This book introduces us to Arabel and Lorenzo. Arabel is trying to recover from a horribly painful event in her past. She meets Lorenzo who is instantly drawn to her. Lorenzo also has secrets in his closet but acknowledges from the first moments that he feels an innate pull to Arabel. Arabel was such a fighter given how much she had been through. She was trying to put the pieces of her life back together and I just connected so much to her strength. And Lorenzo was such a strong and supportive male lead as he was incredible patient with her and her triggers. Honestly, there were parts of this book that were not easy to read as we understand just how traumatizing Arabel's experience was. But it was necessary to understand just how much their love helped them heal. This book also had many complex layers that kept me turning the pages as it kept wrecking me. Please be aware of the trigger warnings as they are important but I really loved this emotional story of romance and healing.

Our Naked Souls is a heart-wrenchingly beautiful debut novel from this author who poured her heart and soul into these characters and story.
The story is reflective of an emotional and healing journey for these two characters. Each with past traumas that still affect their present and could threaten their relationship and future. I’m especially in love with the setting and scenery, it’s easy to visualise and I love the family and friendship dynamics- they balance this story so well and of course a hint of what’s to come for the rest of the series which I’m already so excited for.
There are possible triggers but they have been written with sensitivity and a reader warning.
Great debut novel and an emotional five stars for this heart-wrenchingly beautiful story!

Bellissima!!!!

Word cant really describe this book. I wouldn't say this book is a dark romance, but there is some dark situations. If you are looking for HEA it is here, but it took sometime to get there. The ride there though is absolutely perfect. Arabel and Enzo's story is two broken people brought together to creat their own happiness and to heal. This is the first book I've read by Alessandra Vitale but not the last.

Our naked souls is about arabel's survival story and her life and road to happiness after surviving an assault and what that looks like to her.

Every broken sad thought to the triumphant ones. And the handsome Enzo who deals with his own grief and loss but in the end it left him with a beautiful child and a story you won't want to miss.

Sometimes the people who are meant for our soul can help us be pushed to healing and sometimes we don't know we are capable all along and I think this story is written to depict that beautifully.

Please if you intend to check this story out make sure you are comfortable with the trigger warnings .

Our Naked Souls by Alessandra Vitale is a contemporary romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Michael Ferraiuolo and Ramona Master. This is the first book in Seasons of the Soul series and can be read as a standalone.

The book comes with a WARNING: "This book contains mature content, which may be disturbing to some of you. Read at your own risk. It is suitable only for ages 18+."

This is the first book of Alessandra's that I have read and it definitely won't be my last. The book took me on an emotional rollercoaster that I never wanted to get off. I loved that relationship that bloomed between Arabel and Lorenzo. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

I can't wait for the next book in the series Our Shadowed Souls to be released on October 5, 2021 so I can get Mignon and Fox's story.

Michael and Ramona did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

Do not read anything about this book, do not read the reviews do not read the blurb dive in head first and completely blind. You won’t regret it..

Be prepared to cry and cry a lot!

These two charters are two halves of a whole both had suffered tremendously and both are broken, then they meet on New Years Eve and there is instant chemistry. Both haunted by the past and are just looking for happiness and freedom. The author writes on some sensitive issues and explains them with great tact. The word just flow right off the page. You are going to feel all the emotions when you read this.

Excellent read and I am looking forward for more from this author.

“I’m a prisioner of a past I can’t escape.”

Our Naked Souls is the first book by the author, Alessandra Vitale, and I can assure you that you will not be disappointed. Really, what an amazing book! Characters with traumas to be worked on, with layers to be discovered as the chapters go by, which have a very strong connection/chemistry, which are provocative to each other, and single parent trope? Had gain me all.

“For the last three years, I'd walked around shackled to the event that had changed the bedrock of who I’d been. My life was divided in two: then and now.”

Arabel Reid, what a character! Seriously if you look at my notes, basically, it's all about her, including the quotes. She is presented to us right in the prologue, which just reminding me already leaves me with a tight heart, and there we see Arabel in a state of shock being examined. But three years have passed, and that's when we will get to know her better. She is a psychotherapist, and her two greatest hobbies are ariel dance (I loved knowing more about this style of dance, and seeing her talking about, made me identify too much because when I did ballet I felt the same things.) and flower gardening (she learned the language of flowers because she liked them so much and used them to express herself). I suffered a lot with her, my God, her pain is so palpable, but seeing her getting stronger and recovering her confidence made me super happy.

“She walked over to the back table, studying the different sculptures I'd made over the last few years. She focused on a snow owl and a bison. The former symbolized wisdom and darkness, the latter harmony and abundance. Who I was and whom I longed to be.”

Lorenzo Simonetti, another character full of layers, with a painful past but who is super strong. We met him together with Arabel, in the first chapter, and soon there we can see the connection between them. He owns the Simonetti Ski Resort, circumstances made him build and work in that empire, but he also has hobbies, skiing (which he loved so much but had to stop) and wood carving (which was an escape valve for his pain but which taught him so much). I also suffered for him, and being allowed to open up with Ariel helped him so much, because these two passed for a journey of healing both together and separately. And last but not least, his relationship with Caterina left me with a warm heart.

“The physical chemistry and emotional connection we shared made all others seem dull.”

I loved too much, it was a book full of teachings that I will keep and take into my life. Now talking about other points in the book, such as the family relationship. Super strong and present in both their lives, incredible incredible. One thing I'll have to admit is: I'm not a big Tolkien fan, in fact, I've never read or watched the movies but seeing the characters talking/expressing their love/enthusiasm for this author made me want to know his works. Their first time scene was perfect, Alessandra! I can't even put into words how this is my favorite scene, and it's not because of the sex, but the complicity between them, the trust, him helping her through her trauma, seriously, what a scene! AND I CAN'T LEAVE OUT THE NICKNAMES KKKKKKKKKK I LOVED SO MUCH! CIRQUE AND MR. STEEL. I'll miss them, I can't wait for Mignon's book.

“What’s the best kind of pleasure?”
“The one that comes from absolute consent.”

Please be careful with the triggers. TW: Abuse, Rape, Suicide, Drugs, Alcohol.

Heartbreakingly Beautiful Second Chance Love Story!

"To truly know ourselves, we needed to get to know the shadows that lurked at the edges of our light. When we explored our own darkness, the light would taste sweeter than we ever imagined possible."

This is a beautifully written story about letting go of a painful past, giving forgiveness and acceptance in oneself in order to have that second chance that everyone deserves. It is a story that will rip your heart out, over and over again, with all the pain and anger written inside its pages. It will take you on an emotionally charged journey into healing and forgiveness. Be ready with lots of tissues nearby, cause your going to need them.

Arabel and Enzo are two broken souls with very painful pasts. They are both fighting demons in their lives and trying to move past them. When their eyes first connect it was like their souls finally found that other part of them that they were missing. Their connection was intense; I felt it in my heart; there was something pulling these two together.

The pain, anger, sadness, passion and love could be felt with every word this amazing author wrote. When Arabel finally disclosed her past, it broke me and then way that Enzo reacted to it, broke me even further. The passion and love that these to have to give is extraordinary but they have so much darkness to get through first.

I absolutely loved this story. It is intense, shocking and filled with lots of secrets, some secrets that will leave you shocked and some that will bring you to your knees.

I look forward to reading more stories by this very talented author.

Our Naked Souls is the debut novel by Alessandra Vitale...and I highly recommend she continues writing!

This book is one that will stay with you. It has dark and triggering elements, so please be aware before reading, but if you can handle triggers, I encourage you to read this story.

It has angst and push and pull between the main characters, Arabel and Enzo. Both having suffered, in different ways, and trying to move on from their past, trying to build the courage to move on. It is a story of suffering, recovering, grief, PTSD. It felt very real, very relatable. People cope and deal with trauma in varying ways and to varying degrees...this book highlights that.

It is a romance and it definitely has sexy sexy scenes...but it is so much more than that.
Arabel was fantastic. To go through what she did...I am ever so thankful that I have not and I hope/pray that I never do...as I said, it all felt very real, believable, relatable. Fighting her demons and doing her best to come out victorious.
Enzo was great, as well. He has his own demons he is trying to overcome...but still has a sexy, alpha male side to him that was totally swoon worthy.

I can't wait for more!!

Amended to add: even if you have triggers, especially these particular ones (I'm afraid to say specifically what they are for spoilers, but they are listed the foreword), I implore you to read this story. It is a story of coming out of that dark place and finding happiness. You can overcome it and find the light at the end of the tunnel!! You are not alone!!!

“I saw heartache as a human right, just like anger, happiness, love and success. And that it was up to us to decide which one would pervade throughout our lives.”

WOW...just WOW!!! This story hit me like a ton of bricks and wrecked me in the best possible way.

Our Naked Souls was such an emotional, heartwrenching and soul touching journey about two broken souls that found the strength to heal each other, move forward and find happiness again.

After experiencing something so traumatic, Arabel finds difficult to heal, recover, forgive herself for blaming herself for what happened and just be happy again. Feeling ashamed and hopeless, she had built walls to protect herself and she’s been running since then, too afraid to open up to the possibility of love. That is until she meets Lorenzo. She finally feels safe around him and starts to see the light at the end of the tunnel and think that perhaps she wasn’t as broken as she thought.
But Lorenzo is a tortured soul too, hiding a secret that broke and hurt him years ago. He is trying to move on from the past but he’s afraid of giving love a second chance.

I think Arabel is one of my favourite heroines. She’s so strong, and courageous, she’s a fighter and despite what she had been through, despite her fears, she still wanted to help and save him. And Lorenzo, I loved how supportive and understanding he was with Arabel.

This is Alessandra’s debut and I was completely blown away by her writing style. She was able to make me feel all.the.emotions! The story and the characters were so raw, real and relatable and I think Alessandra did an amazing job at touching such a sensitive topic in a graceful and respectable way.

So much love for this story, so much love for Arabel and Lorenzo. I loved every word, every chapter and every single minute of this book.

Wow..... I went into this story completely blind as I do pretty much all books, and once again I have been been truly wowed and impressed. I listened to the audiobook version, which was very well done. This story is raw and heartbreaking and difficult to read/listen to at times, but it was so very worth it.

Arabel has been through an insanely traumatic experience and it is with her all the time. Years later, the memories still haunt her. When she meets Lorenzo, though she is attracted to him, there is so much about being with him that makes her nervous too. Lorenzo is also no stranger to his own set of difficult life experiences and he too has some reservations about being in a relationship with Arabel, yet they are drawn to each other, and maybe they are exactly what they need to each feel whole again.

My heart broke for Arabel's experience, but I admired her strength and her character and her determination to keep moving forward. My heart also broke for Lorenzo and all that he had been through. I really liked he and Arabel together. I think the author did a fantastic job with this very difficult story line and sensitive subject matter. I would definitely like to read more of her work in the future.

Wow. I'm mind-blown. This book was full of such beautiful, haunting words, it gave me the chills. It's a story about pain, trauma, blackness, demons, and how one person can heal you and help you overcome it all. How two souls can connect on such an intimate level and soar together. Both Enzo and Arie suffered, they are haunted by their past, so full of despair to just live again, to be free. Freedom. That's what both searched for every day after their lives were hit with a blackness so thick, they thought they would never get out. They were hurt, damaged so horribly by a monster. How can one person bring so much pain to others? It makes me sick. But I loved how this author approached such a sensitive subject and taught us so much, with such beautiful words. That's the beauty of this book. I loved every single chapter, couldn't stop reading. Even though it was my first book by this author, it definitely won't be the last 🖤

A beautiful story....

....I'm going to admit, I've had this book in my library for several weeks but after reading the reviews (I usually just glance at the headings of them!) Anyway, loads were saying it was so sad, and they cried etc, and I thought - why would I read a story that will make me sad? The whole point of reading is to loose yourself, I don't even watch the news or read papers because I don't want sadness!....bla bla blaaaaa!
Well, see all those reviews? Ignore them! I wish I had!!

There's no denying, there's some heartbreaking moments in this books, actually there's quite a few! And the way Alessandra wrote those words - Sheesh you will feel every emotion!!

And yes, there's sadness but that's not what this book is about. This book is about thriving, about overcoming your worse fears, facing the horrific past and finding you're stronger than you ever thought possible. This book is beautifully written and yes it's emotional but it's also fierce and strong and inspiring.

Hats of to ya because to write a story so traumatic and real and sad with that much compassion and realness takes true talent!

An excellent read.

This book was a challenge to read.
The challenge was whether to devour it in one sitting or savor it, reading a little bit at a time!

I went with savoring and I was rewarded with the characters swirling around in my head for days.
Early on the character development gives the reader a very descriptive picture of Lorenzo and Arabel - I was hooked on these two from the getgo!
Instant attraction unites them, will their past traumas get in the way of the possibility of everlasting love?
I love that Vitale doesn’t shy away from real life situations, as painful as they are - by leaning into the pain, the characters, and real life people, can begin to heal.
And did I mention the steam that comes off of this book!?
Whether you choose to devour or savor - you will not be disappointed!

Finally finished this book. I found that it delivered towards the end, even though I found it a bit slow and dragging to start with. At some point all the push and pull(especially Enzo) felt tiring.
Overall, I really liked the writing and the story telling. First book from this author, but definitely not the last. I liked the h much more than the H. I felt myself disappointed and disliking him throughout the book. He was a bit over the top so I just expected better.
The story really picked up the pace towards the end. Though the ending was unexpected, since the beginning I had a “tiny” inkling as to where it was going and I was right. I still gladly read it though.
Trigger warnings in sight, it’s 4 soulful stars ⭐️ for me.
