Hi <<First Name>>,

Thank you for joining us at Victoria Park for our 10K, 10 Mile and Half Marathon events.

Please read all of the information below carefully to ensure you arrive at the right time, if you have any questions, details of how to get in touch can be found at the end of this email. You can also follow the event on Facebook.

Before Race Day

Think about your training and what you should eat and drink in the 24 hours before the event. If you've not trained as well as you hoped, be prepared to take it easier, particularly for the first half of the race.

Plan your journey carefully. We recommend runners use the TFL website to plan their journey to ensure the most up to date information.

Finding Us in the Park

The event hub, number pick up and start/finish area is opposite Burdett-Coutts Drinking Fountain, close to the bandstand and The Royal Inn on the Park, via Grove Road or Old Ford Road entrances, E9 7DD

Arrival and Start Time

The event will begin at 9.30am. Arrive from 60 minutes before the start. We'll be ready for you from 8:30am.

All of our event plans have been written following RunBritain guidance. They have their own Guide to Participants, available on their website, which we would also recommend that you read before arriving at the event.

Registration

At registration, you'll be asked to confirm your details before collecting a race number and safety pins.

Once you have your number bib, move to the preparation area to complete the emergency details on the reverse and attach it to the top you'll be running in.

On-the-day registration is available. Do you know someone else who would like to take part?  Bring them along!

Toilets

There will be event toilets close to the race hub.

Bag drop

You can leave any clothing, bags, keys and phones at our bag drop. Your race number has a tear-off strip on the bottom that should be attached to anything you leave with us.

The Race

The race starts promptly at 9.30am. We'll make announcements asking you to prepare to run and move into the start area shortly before the race.

The routes are all on tarmac pathways and are marshalled, and signed with arrows and distance markers.

The 10K and 10 Mile routes are comprised of a short out and back, with 3 or 5 large loops of the park respectively.

The Half Marathon route is comprised of a short out and back, with 1 small loop and 6 large loops of the park.
The routes can also be found here.

Water Stations

You'll pass by a self service water station at the start of each of the loops with sealed 250ml sports cap bottles. Please hold on to your bottle for as long as you might need it, and discard it only at a bin or next to a marshal.

Spectators

Spectators are permitted anywhere in the park and around the route. Please be mindful of others' comfort and safety in more popular locations, including the finish area.

Finish line

When you've recovered, collect your medal, water and snacks from next to the finish area, and don't forget to collect any belongings you've left with us.

Any lost property or left belongings will be kept for one month.

A complete set of results will be posted online and emailed to all runners on Sunday afternoon.
