Geschätzte Hundeführer und NROs,
ich möchte euch für das in uns gesetzte Vertrauen danken und freue mich, mit euch zusammen die Ziele unserer IRO zu erreichen. Dazu brauchen wir eine geeinte IRO, die am selben Weg arbeitet.
|

|
|
Wir wollen die Gräben der Wahl schließen, Brücken bauen und neue Lösungen finden.
Ein altes Gesetz in der Wirtschaft lautet: Wenn Du ein fahrendes Schiff betrittst, ziehe an keinem Hebel, bevor Du nicht weißt, wofür er steht.
Corona behindert uns in vielen Belangen. Training und Sport werden stark eingeschränkt. IRO Aktivitäten sind zurückgefahren worden. Für uns als Vorstand bietet das aber die Möglichkeit für eine Standortbestimmung. Dazu unterstützen sich die Vorstandsmitglieder entsprechend ihrem Fachwissen referatsübergreifend, um Liegengebliebenes aufzuarbeiten. Erst dann ist es möglich, Veränderungen nachhaltig umzusetzen.
Mit eurer aktiven Unterstützung und den hochmotivierten Damen unseres Büros können wir Schritt um Schritt unsere Ziele erreichen.

Rückblick:
Delegiertenversammlung 2020
|

Am Montag, 28. September fand die Delegiertenversammlung 2020 statt, mit rund 90 Teilnehmern aus 27 Nationen. Der Großteil der Teilnehmer wohnte der Veranstaltung online bei. Die Delegiertenversammlung nicht als reine Präsenzveranstaltung abzuhalten, sondern diese in den virtuellen Raum zu bringen, war ein komplexes Unterfangen und erstmalig in der Geschichte der Internationalen Rettungshunde Organisation. Umso mehr freut es uns, dass das Format von den Teilnehmern gut angenommen wurde und das Feedback durchwegs positiv war.
Die Anträge an die Delegierten können hier eingesehen werden. Die Anträge (1) und (2) sowie (4) bis (9) wurden durch die Delegierten angenommen. Antrag (3) wurde nicht angenommen.
Sämtliche Abstimmungen wurden per Online-Voting durchgeführt. So auch die Wahl des IRO Vorstands. Zur Wahl standen zwei Listen, die der NRO EVRPL und jene des Vorstands. Am Ende konnte die Liste des Vorstands die Wahl knapp für sich entscheiden.
Wir bedanken uns bei allen Teilnehmern für das lange Durchhalten sowie all unseren Partnern für die großartige Zusammenarbeit in der Umsetzung dieses bedeutenden Events.

Die Riege der IRO Trainer wächst weiter
|

|
Von 11. – 16.09.2020 fand das Modul II der nationalen IRO Trainerausbildung in Gmunden/Regau (AT) statt. Von Freitag bis Sonntag wurden die Traineranwärter theoretisch und praktisch in der Flächensuche geschult. Neben der Verbellanzeige wurden auch die Themen Bringseln und Freiverweisen unterrichtet. Ein weiterer Themenschwerpunkt wurde bei der Unterordnung und Gewandtheit gesetzt.
Von 15 Teilnehmern bestanden zehn die Prüfung zum nationalen IRO Trainer: Alarico Sberlati, Borut Modic, Julia Welz, Simon Willfort, Denis Laus, Annette Köhler, Silvia Pixner, Marco Schmitt, Hias Leinich und Claudio Bötschi.
Wir gratulieren allen neuen nationalen IRO Trainern sehr herzlich!
Besonderer Dank gilt dem SVÖ Gmunden/Regau (OG 009), der uns tatkräftig bei der Organisation unterstützt hat und dessen Mitglieder stets um das leibliche Wohl der Teilnehmer bemüht waren.

Wir durften mit dem internationalen IRO Trainer und Leistungsrichter Alois Russegger ein spannendes Interview zum Thema Mantrailing führen. Da für 2021/2022 ein Mantrailing-Ausbildungsprogramm für bestehende IRO Trainer geplant ist, haben wir Alois gebeten, uns einen Einblick in die Besonderheiten des Trailens zu geben sowie die Lehrinhalte der Trainerausbildung und Leistungsrichterschulung näher zu erläutern.

Erfolgreiches IRO Webinar
mit Engels Cortés
|
|
Das IRO Webinar „Verbessern Sie Ihre Fähigkeiten mithilfe der Neurowissenschaften“ von Engels Germán Cortés Trujillo hat weltweit großes Interesse hervorgerufen. Fast 150 Teilnehmer, von IRO NROs und vielen anderen Organisationen, nahmen an dem Webinar, welches am 16.09.2020 auf Englisch und am 23.09.2020 auf Spanisch via ZOOM abgehalten wurde, teil.
Engels Cortés erklärte in seinen Ausführungen, warum viele Hundeführer aus neurowissenschaftlicher Sicht, bei Prüfungen oder im Einsatz – wenn sie unter Druck stehen – Fehler machen, obwohl sie eigentlich bestens vorbereitet sind. Darüber hinaus informierte er über die häufigsten Fehler und gab Einblicke, wie die Neurowissenschaften helfen können, unter Druck erfolgreich und fehlerfrei zu arbeiten.

With the Meeting of the Delegates, the election of the new IRO Executive Board, the IRO Trainer Module II as well as the cancellation of more International IRO Testing Events, a turbulent month lies behind us. Dear dog handlers and NROs,
I would like to thank you for the trust you put in us and I am looking forward to achieving the goals of our IRO together with you. For this, we need a united IRO which works on the same path.

We want to close the gaps from the election, build bridges and find new solutions.
An old law in business says: If you enter a ship that is sailing, do not pull any lever before you know what it does.
Corona hinders us in many regards. Training and sports are strongly limited. IRO activities have been reduced. For us as Executive Board, however, this offers the opportunity for an assessment. For this, the Board members support each other according to their expertise beyond the Departments to work off unfinished things. Only then it is possible to implement changes in a sustainable way.
With your active support and the highly motivated ladies in the Office, we can achieve our goals step by step.

Review:
Meeting of the Delegates 2020
|

|
|
On Monday, 28 September, the Meeting of the Delegates 2020 took place with about 90 participants from 27 nations. The majority of the participants attended the event online. To hold the Delegates' Meeting not as a pure face-to-face event, but to bring it into virtual space was a complex endeavour and a first in the history of the International Search and Rescue Dog Organisation. We are all the more pleased that the format was well received by the participants and the feedback was consistently positive.
You can find the motions to the Delegates here. Motions (1), (2) and (4) to (9) were approved by the Delegates. Motion (3) did not pass.
All votes were carried out via online voting. This was also the case with the election of the IRO Executive Board. Two lists were up for election, by the NRO EVRPL and the Board. In the end, the list of the Executive Board decided the election by a narrow margin.
We would like to thank all participants for staying with us for so long and all our partners for the fantastic collaboration to implement this landmark event.

The team of IRO Trainers
is growing

From 11–16 September 2020 the Module II of the national IRO Trainer programme took place in Gmunden/Regau (AT). From Friday to Sunday the candidate trainers received theoretical and practical instructions in the Area search. Besides the barking display, the topics “Bringseln” and free references were taught. A further focus was set on obedience and dexterity.
Out of 15 participants, ten passed the examination for the national IRO Trainer: Alarico Sberlati, Borut Modic, Julia Welz, Simon Willfort, Denis Laus, Annette Köhler, Silvia Pixner, Marco Schmitt, Hias Leinich and Claudio Bötschi.
We congratulate all new national IRO Trainers!
A special thanks goes to SVÖ Gmunden/Regau (OG 009) and its members, who actively supported us with the organisation and always took care of the culinary well-being of the participants.

We had the pleasure to interview the international IRO Trainer and Judge Alois Russegger on the topic of Mantrailing. As a Mantrailing training programme for existing IRO Trainers is planned for 2021/2022, we asked Alois to give us an insight into the specifics of Mantrailing and to explain the contents of the IRO Trainer course and Judges instruction in detail.

Successful IRO Webinar
with Engels Cortés
|
|
The IRO Webinar “Improve your skills with the use of Neurosciences” by Engels Germán Cortés Trujillo has generated a lot of interest worldwide. Almost 150 participants from IRO NROs and other organisations attended the webinar, which was held via ZOOM on 16 September 2020 in English and on 23 September 2020 in Spanish.
Engels Cortés explained in his presentation why, from a neuroscientific point of view, many dog handlers make mistakes during tests or in missions – when they are under pressure – although they are actually well prepared. Moreover, he informed about the most common mistakes and gave insights into how Neurosciences can help to work successfully under pressure without making mistakes.
