English language proficiency will grow in importance for Ukraine over the next decade. Teacher preparation is a crucial step in helping youth develop the English skills they need to rebuild Ukraine and participate in the EU. Over the past two years, faculty from pedagogical colleges and universities have developed expertise about how to meet the needs of English teachers in times of crisis. The Regional English Language Office, U.S. Embassy Kyiv, is pleased to announce an inaugural forum for English language faculty in pedagogical colleges and universities to share their experiences and learn from each other. This event will provide an opportunity for faculty to discuss pressing issues and ideas regarding ways forward in the training of future English language teachers in Ukraine. An additional goal is to establish and continue professional networking among educators and leaders in the sphere of English teacher preparation.
