About this event

***This event is ON HOLD due to the sad passing of Her majesty the Queen. A rescheduled date will be announced as soon as possible***

Perth & Kinross has a long history of welcoming folks from other countries and cultures. In recent years, we have welcomed those fleeing conflict and crisis elsewhere in the world in new ways. Join us for a celebration of culture, bringing these communities and our Scottish community together for the first time in a unique, participative, Unity Concert featuring music, dance & storytelling from all over the world, including Afghanistan, Yemen, and of course some traditional Scottish ceilidh dancing!

This FREE Edinburgh Festival Fringe event funded by BEMIS Scotland will celebrate P&K's role in welcoming refugees, celebrating the rich and diverse cultures they bring to Perth & Kinross and the place they now call home.

Featuring performances from...

- Khloud Ereksousi, Syrian Storyteller

- local Scottish Trad group The Mad Ferret Band

And lots more to be announced!

The planning of this event is led by individuals who have recently come to Perth & Kinross, fleeing conflict and crisis elsewhere in the world. We look forward to joining them in celebrating both their own cultures and the place they now call home.

Tickets are free but should be booked in advance. There will also be an opportunity to donate to PKAVS' continuing work to support new arrivals to Perth & Kinross.
