Auch diesen Monat halten wir wieder einen spannenden Newsletter, vollgepackt mit zahlreichen Informationen, für euch bereit. Die Themen sind ganz vielfältig, von der Delegiertenversammlung über ein Update zum Fördergeld bis hin zu aktuellen Marketing-News ist alles dabei.
Ganz besonders im Griff hatte uns in den vergangenen Tagen die Katastrophe im Libanon, über die wir ausführlich auf unserer Facebook-Seite berichtet haben. Auch von unseren Mitgliedsorganisationen waren Rettungshundeteams in Beirut, um die Suche nach Vermissten zu unterstützen. Wir danken allen Helfern ganz herzlich für ihren Einsatz und sind froh, dass in der Zwischenzeit wieder alle gesund heimgekehrt sind.

Delegiertenversammlung 2020 und Wahl des IRO Vorstands
|

|
Laut der IRO Satzung hat alle vier Jahre eine Vorstandswahl durch die Delegiertenversammlung zu erfolgen. Wie angekündigt, soll diese Wahl im Rahmen der Delegiertenversammlung 2020 am 28.09.2020 stattfinden.
Aufgrund von abgesagten oder verschobenen Veranstaltungen wie auch der Verschiebung der WM 2020 auf 2021 wurde der Austausch zwischen den NROs sehr erschwert. Die Delegiertenversammlung ist ein wichtiger Ort für Kommunikation und auch kritische Debatte. Daher strebt der Vorstand an, wenn möglich eine Präsenz-Veranstaltung in Salzburg (AT) abzuhalten, um besseren Austausch und Diskussion zu ermöglichen.
Angesichts der Situation arbeiten der Vorstand und die Geschäftsstelle selbstverständlich derzeit an der Vorbereitung von unterschiedlichen Optionen, auch online, parallel zur Präsenz-Veranstaltung. Die Situation erfordert Flexibilität und soll nicht dazu führen, dass Delegierte nicht teilnehmen können. Wir beobachten die Situation weiterhin und werden die Delegierten zeitnah über mögliche Anpassungen in der Abhaltung dieser Veranstaltung informieren.
Der aktuelle Vorstand sowie die NRO EVRPL haben jeweils einen Wahlvorschlag für die bevorstehende Wahl eingebracht. Die Wahlvorschläge sowie weitere Unterlagen zur Delegiertenversammlung finden sich hier.
Der Vorstand möchte darauf hinweisen, dass die Deputierten für die Regionen nicht auf der Wahlliste geführt sind, da diese Positionen nicht von den Delegierten gewählt werden. Die beiden aktuellen Deputierten für Asien und Amerika (Nord- und Südamerika) wurden jedoch als wichtige Komponenten der Arbeit der IRO in die Präsentation seines Wahlvorschlags aufgenommen, um zu betonen, dass ihre Arbeit wie üblich fortgeführt wird. Dies ist keine Wahlempfehlung der Deputierten, sondern soll die Unterstützung des Vorstands für die Arbeit der Deputierten veranschaulichen.

Wegen der vielen Veranstaltungsabsagen aufgrund von COVID-19 wird es nicht möglich und fair sein, das Fördergeld auf die gleiche Weise aufzuteilen wie in den letzten Jahren. Es wird 2021 eine Auszahlung für 2020 geben, der Vorstand arbeitet an einem Konzept dafür.
Das Detailkonzept hängt unter anderem davon ab, welche und wie viele Veranstaltungen 2020 noch stattfinden können. Das betrifft auch den Nachweis der Ausgaben, da viele Organisationen 2020 weniger Gelegenheit zur Nutzung von Fördergeld hatten.
Eine faire Lösung für alle NROs steht im Mittelpunkt der Bemühungen.

Seit Anfang des Jahres verstärkt Daniela das IRO Team und verantwortet sämtliche Marketing- und Kommunikationsaktivitäten. Mehr als zehn Jahre Erfahrung im internationalen Marketing und strategischen Projektmanagement machen sie zu einem Marketing Allrounder. Sie ist neugierig und interessiert sich immer für Neues – seien es spannende Geschichten aus der Welt der Rettungshundearbeit oder aktuelle Marketingtrends.
Ihr Büroalltag gestaltet sich absolut abwechslungsreich: Die Erstellung von Drucksorten, die Betreuung des IRO Webshops sowie aller Onlinekanäle (Website, Social Media), Markenkommunikation und Öffentlichkeitsarbeit gehören zu Danielas Aufgabengebiet. Auch bei Fragen der Mitgliedsorganisationen zu Corporate Design, Marketing und Pressearbeit hat sie stets ein offenes Ohr.
Ihre größte Leidenschaft gilt dem Texten. Scharfsinnige Kernbotschaften zu erfassen und leichtfüßig in Worte zu gießen, gilt als ihre Paradedisziplin.
Energie tankt Daniela im Training und bei Unternehmungen mit ihrem Mischlingshund Monty. Mit nicht ganz zwei Jahren hat der noch ordentlich Flausen im Kopf. 😉
Als Ausgleich zum Büroalltag hat sie die Gartenarbeit für sich entdeckt, wo sie mit Leidenschaft Unkraut zupft und ihre kreative Ader auslebt.

Again this month we have an exciting newsletter, packed with lots of information for you. The topics are quite varied, from the Delegates Meeting to an update on sponsor money to the latest marketing news, it's all there.
In the past few days we were deeply touched by the catastrophe in Lebanon, which we reported on in detail on our Facebook page. Also from our member organisations search and rescue dog teams were in Beirut to support the search for missing persons. We would like to thank all the teams very much for their efforts and are glad that in the meantime they have returned home safely.

Meeting of the Delegates and Election of IRO Board
|
|
|
According to the IRO Constitution, every four years a Board election is due to be held. As announced, this election is to take place in the framework of the Delegates Meeting 2020 on 28/09/2020.
Due to cancelled and postponed events such as the postponement of the WCH from 2020 to 2021, exchange between the NROs was more difficult. The Delegates Meeting is an important place for communication and also critical debate. Therefore, the Board still seeks to hold an in-person meeting in Salzburg (AT) if possible, in order to enable better exchange and discussion.
In light of the situation, the Board and Office are indeed currently preparing for different options, also online, parallel to the in-person meeting. The situation demands flexibility and should not lead to Delegates not being able to take part. We will keep monitoring the situation and inform the Delegates timely about any adaptations in this event.
The sitting Board and the NRO EVRPL have brought in an election proposal for this election. You can find the election proposals as well as other information on the Delegates Meeting here.
The Board wants to point out that the Deputies for Regions are not on the election list, since these positions are not voted on by the Delegates. The two current Deputies for Asia and the Americas were, as important parts of IRO’s work, included in the presentation of the Board’s proposal in order to point out that their work will be continued as usual. This is not a voting recommendation by the Deputies but should show the Board’s support for their work.

Update: Sponsor money 2020
|
|
Due to many COVID-19 related cancellations it will not be fair or possible to allocate sponsor money for 2020 in the same way as in previous years. There will be a disbursement of sponsor money for 2020 in 2021, the Board is working on a concept for it.
The details still depend on which and how many events can take place in 2020. This also refers to the proof of use of funds, since many organisations had less opportunities to use sponsor money in 2020.
A fair solution for all NROs is at the center of these efforts.

Meet the team: Daniela,
the creative mind
|
|
At the beginning of the year Daniela joined the IRO team and is responsible for all marketing and communication activities. More than ten years of experience in international marketing and strategic project management make her a marketing all-rounder. She is curious and always interested in new things – whether it be exciting stories from the world of search and rescue dog work or current marketing trends.
Her daily office routine is absolutely versatile: The design of printed material, the supervision of the IRO webshop and all online channels (website, social media) as well as brand communication and public relations belong to Daniela's field of responsibility. She is also always happy to answer any questions from member organisations on corporate design, marketing and any press related inquiries.
Her greatest passion is writing. Capturing astute key messages and putting them into words with ease is considered to be her golden discipline.
Daniela recharges her batteries in training and on trips with her mix-breed dog Monty. With not quite two years he still has a lot of nonsense in his head. 😉
As a balance to the office routine, she has discovered gardening for herself, where she passionately pulls weeds and acts out her creative streak.
