This year's 45th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine announced on Monday that that an original video anime (OVA) for the We Never Learn: BOKUBEN will be bundled with the 16th volume of Taishi Tsutsui's We Never Learn (Bokutachi wa Benkyō ga Dekinai) manga when the volume ships on April 3, 2020.

The deadline to pre-order the limited edition bundle with the manga volume and the anime on Blu-ray Disc is January 29. The magazine teases that the original episode will be 25 minutes long and will feature all five main female leads in a wedding ceremony. Tsutsui is providing supervision for the OVA. The bundle will also include a specially drawn manga, and a "precious memories" illustration card by Tsutsui.

The franchise's first OVA will ship with the manga's 14th volume on November 1. The anime will be 25 minutes long. The limited edition set will also include a "precious memories" illustration card by Tsutsui. The anime will cover chapters 48 and 49. The chapters center on Yuiga and Asumi faking a date on the beach, and later Yuiga meets his teacher Mafuyu Kirisu hiding since she accidentally lost her bikini top.

The first season of We Never Learn: BOKUBEN premiered on April 6. Aniplex of America has licensed the anime under the title We Never Learn: BOKUBEN, and is streaming the anime on Hulu, Crunchyroll, and FunimationNow. The second season premiered in Japan on Saturday. Funimation, Crunchyroll, and HIDIVE are all streaming the series.
