Stanley Clarke N 4Ever

The music Clarke made with the late pianist and composer Chick Corea is the focus of this final night of the bass great’s residency.

Clarke’s virtuosic young band for this monumental night includes tenor saxophonist Emilio Modeste, pianist/keyboardist Beka Gochiashvili, guitarist Colin Cook, and drummer Jeremiah Collier.

This performance is a much-deserved salute to one of the most influential musicians and composers of the 20th and 21st centuries — an artist, like the week’s fellow late honoree McCoy Tyner — who had a long and momentous relationship with SFJAZZ and helped consecrate the Miner Auditorium stage at the SFJAZZ Center’s Opening Night concert in January 2013.
