After growing up as a resident class clown in Yanceyville, NC, TK’s first official comedy performance was in 2010 in Norfolk, VA, where he’d enlisted in the Navy and did stand-up for shipmates to boost morale. He later moved to San Francisco to study acting by day and comedy by night, performing at venues including the famed Cobb’s Comedy Club and the Punch Line, and the African-American Shakespeare Company. His studies then took him to London, where he studied acting at the legendary Arts Educational Schools of London and found time to do comedy competitions on the side and hone his craft. In 2017, he moved back to San Francisco and picked up where he left off. Today, he’s performing all over the Bay Area and beyond, but you’ll find him most often at Edinburgh Castle Pub, where he hosts his open mic on Monday and Thursday nights and has produced dozens of shows featuring the best local up-and-comers.
$.25 per each ticket sold for a majority of events at Cobb’s Comedy Club benefits Comedy Gives Back, a safety net for the comedy community.
