This Acceptable Use Policy outlines how to use Cuttly and its tools responsibly. Using the Cuttly URL Shortener and related services implies acceptance of this policy and our Terms of Service. These guidelines are intended as good-practice recommendations and do not constitute a separate contract.
1. Proper Use
Use the Cuttly platform and its features lawfully, responsibly and in accordance with internet ethics. You must not use Cuttly services to:
- violate any applicable law or regulation,
- breach our Terms of Service,
- send unsolicited or bulk messages (spam),
- share or promote pornographic, violent,
- infringe copyrights or other intellectual property rights,
- violate privacy or publish data of others without consent,
- engage in phishing, spoofing, hacking or distribution of malware,
- redirect to content violating the U.S. DMCA or similar laws,
- harass, threaten or impersonate others,
- use the platform to distribute illegal or pirated software.
2. Reporting Abuse
If you encounter content or behavior violating these rules, report it immediately via the Abuse Report Form. Include the short link and reason for your report whenever possible.
3. Consequences of Misuse
Cuttly may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy, in accordance with our Terms of Service. Decisions regarding account suspension or restoration follow the general procedures described in the Terms.
4. Additional Notes
- Cuttly performs automated and manual link checks to prevent spam, phishing and malware.
- Suspicious or blocked URLs display a Guard page informing users that access to the destination has been restricted.
- Enterprise clients may request crawler opt-out for internal systems that trigger actions on scan.
- All users are encouraged to read our Privacy Policy and Trust & Transparency section.
5. Enforcement and Updates
We review abuse reports promptly and act in good faith to keep the Cuttly ecosystem safe. This policy may be updated to reflect new security measures, legal requirements or service changes. The latest version is always available at this page.
